Teen Mom Star Bar Smith Facing Serious Jail Time
Teen Mom star Bar Smith is facing criminal charges that include kidnapping, domestic violence, and more. It was already known that he was held without bail, and it now reveals why his crimes were so scary.
In July, Bar was arrested and charged with several felony crimes. These include kidnapping, domestic violence (with threat or use of force), and more. His estranged wife, Ashley Jones, said that she was the victim of his crimes. Now, the police reports have been unveiled and show what he did (via The Ashley).
The latest incident happened on July 7, one day after Ashley posted a photo of herself on a date with her new boyfriend. Ashley’s mother, Tea Chapple, says that Ashley called her and was scared because Bar told her he was coming to her home in Nevada from his home in California.
Ashley called her mom and asked her to call the police if Bar was inside her apartment. When Ashley walked into her apartment, her mother heard Bar’s voice through the phone. Her mom then called the police and told them about Bar’s violent past, and they showed up to investigate.

The Police Say Bar Tried To Hide When They Arrived
The police report says they arrived at Ashley’s apartment and knocked on the door. Bar said she didn’t live there through the door, but they wouldn’t leave. Ashley finally came to the door and said Bar was in there but wasn’t invited. She asked the police to make him leave.
Bar had an active warrant for his arrest, so the police were able to apprehend him. That is when Ashley told her side of the story. Ashely said she hadn’t seen him since March when she kicked him out and he left for California. When Bar learned she had a new boyfriend, he returned.
Ashley alleges that he took her phone, watch, tablets, and keys from her and wouldn’t allow her to leave. He demanded she tell him where her boyfriend lived so he could confront him. She said he threatened to “break her jaw” if she kept arguing with him.
He then reportedly barricaded the doors and said she wasn’t going anywhere. That is when the police showed up. They charged Bar with kidnapping – 2nd degree since he broke into her apartment and waited for her before taking her things and holding her against her will. His threat to break her jaw constituted a “Coercion Domestic Violence with Threat of or Use Of Physical Force” charge. He also received harassment charges for a threatening email he sent before coming over.
A residential burglary charge was also added to things, and he has been in jail since the incident.
