Fans have been patiently waiting for The View to return to television. The popular talk show will be taking a summer break, like many other daytime TV shows. Continue reading to see what’s changing and when the ladies of The View will be coming back on TV.

Sunny Hostin Is ‘Sad To Say Goodbye’

Season 28 of The View kicks off this fall, but there is a major shakeup happening with the studio. “After 10 years and 2,143 episodes, this is the last show we’ll do from this studio,” Sunny Hostin shared with viewers during the August 2 episode.

She continued, “We’re sad to say goodbye, but we are thrilled to be moving to a brand-new studio downtown — brand-new, state-of-the-art — and we will see you there in September for the premiere of season 28!”

The first 17 years of the talk show have been taped at ABC Television Studio 23 in New York City. Then, in 2014, it was moved to the ABC Broadcast Center. Now, The View will start Season 28 in an all-new location.

The View Hosts Pack Up For New Location

Sunny spoke about how surreal it has been to pack up her belongings and get ready for the move. “We’ve had to, for the past couple of weeks, box up things, get rid of things … We were allotted, each host, five huge cartons. I took up two, Sara [Haines] took up all five and was looking for more!” she told the audience.

Then she revealed that Ana Navarro had more than 50 pairs of shoes in her dressing room. Ana said she felt “attacked.” She joked, “They are all my shoes, I love all my shoes! I have no children, my children are my shoes. I’m a childless shoe lady!”

The new studio was also mentioned on the official Instagram page for the show. They told fans to get ready for a new “View” before revealing the location of the new studio.

The caption read, “See you in September from our new, state-of-the-art studio in downtown Manhattan when we kick off season 28! Here’s a look behind the scenes of our photo shoot for this past season in studio TV1.”

There is no doubt the old studio in the Upper West Side holds many memories for each of the women on The View. They held groundbreaking interviews with celebrities and made shocking confessions to each other sitting around the table. Now, they’re moving on.

The View will be on hiatus for most of the month of August. It will return for Season 28 on September 3 at 11 a.m. EST on ABC.
