Mama June’s sister, Doe Doe Shannon, is getting slammed for a tone-deaf collaboration. She tends to go live on social media with her nieces or influencers. Yet, it was one person she chose to work with that had fans questioning Doe Doe’s morals and if she was no better than her sister. Keep reading for more details.

Doe Doe Shannon has served as a surrogate mother, not just for Mama June but for her children. She helped to raise her sister which came out in their therapy sessions with Dr. Ish. Yet, this was already known but the way she embraced being an aunt to her four nieces. When June was dealing with her substance abuse issues and was here, there, and everywhere with men, Doe Doe stepped up. She made sure that Lauryn ‘Pumpkin’ Efird’s babies had everything that they needed. Yet, when June was finally ready to step, Doe Doe was ready to step aside and just be there as a loving aunt.
It has been an extremely hard year and a half with Anna Cardwell being diagnosed with stage 4 adrenal carcinoma. By December 2023, she took a severe turn and was soon gone. It has not been easy on the family but Doe Doe has been truly broken. Therefore, she is in a constant state of mourning. To keep herself occupied and fans engaged, she appears on TikTok and recently did a collaboration/battle with Eugenia Cooney. This rubbed many the wrong way as Cooney had long struggled with an eating disorder.
Reddit fans never expected these ladies to work together. One follower offered background on Eugenia Cooney:
- For those who don’t know, Eugenia Cooney is an internet celebrity that has a severe eating disorder. People follow her out of morbid curiosity to gawk at someone so extremely ill. She exists as a sort of reaction-getter for people to gawk at, post their fears and concerns for her, some like to taunt her until they get her upset, but mostly people comment how kind she is and doesn’t deserve hate.
Helping One Another?
So, with what is known about Eugenia Cooney, are they just two souls who needed each other? Mama June’s sister usually does not even have bad intentions so what was the verdict on Doe Doe Shannon collaborating with Eugenia? Some questioned if the ladies even knew who the other was:

In the end, maybe Doe Doe just wanted to be there for Eugenia as she could not save Anna. Or, she wanted to collaborate with someone who was high-profile. It was noted how Eugenia was covered up so she did not look like her normal self so maybe she was not recognized easily. Either way, this is a weird combination but hopefully, they had a good time and let themselves enjoy some downtime.
