Jenn Tran Fires Back At Sam M. Over Bad Edit Claims
Bachelorette contestant Sam McKinney has made it clear he isn’t happy about how the show is portraying him. Jenn Tran fired back over his ‘bad edit’ claims. Keep reading to see her response to his allegations.
Viewers Call Out Red Flags From Contestants
Sam McKinney and Devin Strader are two frontrunners on Season 21 of The Bachelorette. They are also the suitors who have divided viewers the most. Devin isn’t well-liked among the other contestants because of his strong connection to Jenn.
On the other hand, Sam M. earned the First Impression Rose from Jenn and is friendly with some – but not all – of the cast. However, many Bachelor Nation viewers called out his red flags, especially after the last episode. During Sam and Jenn’s one-on-one date, he decided they would bungee jump off a building without considering her fear of heights.
Jenn Tran was initially upset over Sam M.’s lack of empathy. However, she later praised him for offering her comfort.
Sam McKinney Speaks Out Over Bachelorette Portrayal
The editing on the Bachelor franchise shows has come into question in recent years as viewers began realizing how the producers pull the strings behind the scenes. Sam M. has been vocal on social media about how he’s portrayed on the show since Season 21 started airing.
Both Sam M. and his family members have made claims that the show is purposely editing his scenes to make him look bad, aka the ‘villain edit.’ His dad claimed that Sam M. was edited badly to make other contestants look good and to make Jenn Tran not look like an ‘idiot.’
Jenn Tran Fires Back At Bad Edit Claims
Jenn Tran was a guest on the Love To See It podcast recently and shared her reaction to Sam M.’s claims. She said that while editing does happen, Jenn added, “No one can give you a villain edit.”
She suggested that her suitor take accountability for the things he said on the show.
“You have to own your words because no one’s putting words in your mouth. You are the person that’s saying those things. What I will say is that, sometimes you just gotta take responsibility for the things that are coming out of your mouth.”

Personally, I don’t feel Sam M was being portrayed or is a villain. I think he’s just upset Jenn didn’t give him a rose and that Devin won in the end so he’s playing the victim. The viewers saw how he was constantly acting towards Devin which showed his character and how he tried to control Jenn’s decision about their adventure. Also, Sam was all over Jenn. Why was that all necessary? You just couldn’t stop. Crazy.
Sam you just didn’t possess the qualities that Jenn really needed in the end. Sexual chemistry is nice which I feel gave u the first rose but that doesn’t usually last.
Take responsibility for your words and let it go. No one called u a villain.
Devin is an arrogant know it all. He is the grand BS’er.
The ratings are down because: 1. she is worst bachelorette and has no chemistry with anyone.
2. She is letting the good ones go
