Robin Roberts Wowed By Elizabeth Banks’ Near Death Experience
Good Morning America co-hosts, Robin Roberts, Rebecca Jarvis, and George Stephanopoulos were wowed by actress, Elizabeth Banks’ “terrifying” near-death experience. When she visits the set, she gives details about several of her upcoming features. But while talking about it, she relives a “scary” incident.
Elizabeth Banks Capivates Robin Roberts, Rebecca Jarvis, And George Stephanopoulos
On Good Morning America on July 30, Elizabeth Banks comes on to promote a new season of Press Your Luck. And while she is there she talks about an upcoming movie she is starring in as well. Robin Roberts, Rebecca Jarvis, and George Stephanopoulos were all ears as the star discussed new and exciting things on the horizon. While the actress was stunning as usual, she told fans about her trip to Paris, France to see the Olympics. Likewise, she was very excited to announce the fun ahead in Press Your Luck Season 6. She adores giving away life-changing money to contestants, but recognizes she is partnered with the regrettable “Whammy.” During GMA, they show a clip of a major record on the game show.
But while she was talking about her ventures, Rebecca Jarvis, who is filling in for Michael Strahan, asked her about her new movie, Skincare. However, while plugging her new feature, she recalls experiencing a “terrifying” near-death moment.
She Will Star In A New Thriller
After Rebecca Jarvis introduces Elizabeth Banks’ new movie, Skincare, she shares about the upcoming movie premiering on August 16. Likewise, she also tells them about a scary incident. Robin Roberts, Rebecca Jarvis, and George Stephanopoulos were attentive as Elizabeth explained the premise of the movie. She says that it is based around an “old-school” aesthetician who gets caught up with trying to stay relevant. She links up with younger social media influencers to attempt to keep her edge, but unfortunately, the unfamiliar territory proves to make “things go crazy.” Additionally, Elizabeth said she identified with her character who is in a new world and gets taken advantage of through the process.
Elizabeth Banks Relives Near Death Experience
While filming the thriller, Elizabeth Banks had her own scary situation. “I had my first-ever choking incident.” She pauses and admits, “I was choking on a pea.” Recognizing how it may seem, she adds, “That’s right, a little green pea that I was eating from my lunch.” she told Robin Roberts, Rebecca Jarvis, and George Stephanopoulos. Furthermore, she relives that she was “alone” in her trailer at that time intensifying the fear she had. Then, she recalls exiting to find help, “I threw the door open.” However, she was panicking from not knowing what to do and not being able to breathe. She says, “Couldn’t make any noise. So afraid.” George listens and says, “Oh my gosh.”
Robin Roberts Is Wowed
Relieved, Elizabeth Banks sees someone and signals for help even though it is “terrifying.” Then, she waved them down showing a “choking sign” and the man immediately came to her aid performing the Heimlich maneuver. Furthermore, she reveals, “He had to do it twice. It came loose. His name is Julius. He is my guardian angel. Julius, I love you. Saved my life.” Robin Roberts is in complete astonishment, saying “Wow.” Afterward, Elizabeth encourages everyone to brush up on or make it a priority to learn the Heimlich maneuver. She knows that some are hesitant to break someone else’s ribs, but she reminds people that is much better than dying. “I would’ve been fine with a cracked rib. I literally was dying. It was super scary.”
