Kim Plath’s Kids Think Broke Down Houseboat Is Strange
Recently, Welcome To Plathville star, Kim Plath, purchased a houseboat for her and the “little girls” to live on. When some of Kim’s older kids come for a visit, they are shocked by the new living conditions that seem very strange.
Kim Plath’s Kids Are Adjusting To Her New Living
After last week’s episode of Welcome To Plathville, fans got to see where Kim Plath has decided to live after the split from Barry Plath. While the “little girls” Amber, Mercy, and Cassia went on the grand tour of their new home, the other kids weren’t along at the time. In the upcoming July 30 episode, Kim shows off her new crib to her older kids: Ethan, Micah, and Moriah Plath. Although they don’t exactly know how to respond, their facial expressions and words imply they think it is very odd.
Kim Plath’s Kids Think Her Broke Down Houseboat Is Strange
Undeniably, there have been big changes for the Plaths since the end of Welcome to Plathville Season 5. For instance, Kim Plath decided to move to Florida and take her daughters Amber, 15, Cassia, 13, and Mercy, 11 with her. But she chose an unconventional way of living. During this week’s episode, a trailer teases Ethan, 26, Micah, 23, and Moriah, 21, having their tour of her houseboat.
First, Ethan Plath says, “This is your home?” as they walk on the deck of the houseboat. Kim answers, “Yeah,” but quickly justifies, “Well, there’s more to it. It’s not just this.”
Then, Moriah Plath dances around her opinion, “Looking at the boat, I think we’re all thinking the same thing.” Then, she adds, “But none of us are actually saying it.” Moriah continues in a confessional, shocked by the condition, “The boat doesn’t run.” Further adding, “Do the lights work? How does this even work?”
Furthermore, Micah Plath weighs in on his mom, Kim Plath’s home sweet home. He says in disbelief, “How far do you have to go to go to the bathroom? How far do you have to go to shower?” Additionally, he is bothered that the “water looks kinda brown.”
Ethan Isn’t Sure How They Are Going To Live In The Houseboat
While Ethan Plath and Kim Plath are still repairing their relationship, he still showed up for the tour of her new place. However, his mechanical brain can’t help but jump to concern, “Does it run?” Kim takes it in stride, “It hasn’t run in a year.” Although he held back on completely ripping her decision, he couldn’t understand it. He says in a confessional, “My mom went from her and my dad and all these kids in this house to split and then she’s on the boat. That’s home now.” Somewhat disturbed by the condition of Kim and his sisters’ new living arrangement, he adds, “And the boat doesn’t even run.” Further elaborating, “She can’t get on the water. She’s stuck in the dock.” As he processes the alarming changes, he politely says, “I guess all I can say is, just things are different now.”
Kim Plath Will Take A Broke Down Houseboat Over Staying With Barry
But Kim Plath seems happy to have her independence. She has purchased something to invest in and call her own. In the premiere episode, she said, “Ever since Barry and I separated, I’ve been trying to figure out where I’m going to go and what I’m going to do, and it’s hard not knowing a lot of things.” However, the main point for Kim was, “But I do know I don’t miss that big house. I would rather be on a small boat with my girls than a big house with … fill in the blank.” Kim’s life without Barry looks very different, but she is not eager to jump into living with her boyfriend, Ken Palmer, just to be out of the family house with Barry.
Catch the new episode of Welcome to Plathville on TLC Tuesdays at 10/9c. Then, stream it later on Max.
