Gwen Stefani’s Son Zuma Shocks With Live Country Debut (Video)
Gwen Stefani’s son, Zuma Rossdale, recently proved he has talent like his famous mom. Gwen’s middle son made his live debut while playing country at his stepdad, Blake Shelton’s Oklahoma bar, and he made quite the splash.
Talent Runs In The Family For Gwen Stefani’s Son, Zuma Rossdale
When you come from rock music royalty the way that Zuma Rossdale does, it’s no surprise that he inherited singing talent and a proclivity for playing instruments from his famous parents. On the one hand, you have Gwen Stefani, who blazed a trail with her band, No Doubt, as well as with her solo work.
While Gwen’s marriage to Zuma’s father, Gavin Rossdale, ultimately didn’t work out, Zuma clearly got some of his dad’s talent as well. Rossdale rose to fame as the frontman for the rock band, Bush. When you have a DNA cocktail like this one, it’s no surprise that Zuma also turned to music.
Blake Shelton Has Been A Big Influence, Too
Blake Shelton may not be the biological father of Gwen Stefani’s kids, but, he is a father to them in all the ways that count. Since getting together with Gwen, Blake has been a fixture in the lives of her three sons.
Blake has even gushed in the past about getting to teach the boys about the country way of life.
Blake Shelton told Entertainment Tonight back in April: “I get to teach them the country, you know, and I love that. Whether it’s music, whether it’s literally getting out, getting their hands in the dirt or being out on the ranch, seeing the animals, whatever, you know? I absolutely love being the person that gets to introduce them to that stuff.”
Zuma Rossdale Makes Country Debut At Blake Shelton’s Bar
Based on Zuma Rossdale’s recent performance at Blake Shelton’s Ole Red Bar in Oklahoma, the singer’s influence has certainly rubbed off in a good way. Making his live debut, Zuma strummed and sang a cover of the Zach Bryan hit, Oklahoma Smokeshow.
Not only did Zuma nail this performance, but, it was also a proud dad moment for Blake Shelton, too. Before Zuma started playing, Blake made sure everything was perfect, from the guitar being plugged in, to the height of the mic stand and microphone.

Based on the clip making the rounds, it’s easy to tell that Blake’s heart was full of joy, and Zuma did the song justice, along with making Blake proud. At the rate he is going, Zuma may even wind up on tour with Blake as an opening act. Judging by the crowd response, many people would love to see it, as he continues to come into his own as an artist.
Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani have both been coaches on The Voice, so, Zuma is certainly in good hands.
