Like any game show that stands the test of time and continues for decades, there is a rich history behind it that goes beyond the game itself. When you think of shows like Family Feud, The Price Is Right, Wheel Of Fortune, and Jeopardy!, just to name a few, these shows are more than just about the games.
With shows like these that have been on for decades, there is a major dose of nostalgia with them. With so many things changing in the world at an alarming rate, these shows become a constant that people can count on. Because of this, there are fond memories associated with these shows.
Some Viewers Threaten To Boycott Show
With almost 50 years of history to its name, this show goes back a long way. Even so, there is an increasing number of people boycotting the show and not coming back. The reason for this is the surprisingly raunchy tone the show has taken of late.
Family Feud used to be considered fun family entertainment. However, with the recent nature of many of the survey questions and answers, many lament the fact that the show has taken a turn away from the family-friendly nature that gave it its fanbase in the first place.
Family Feud: Recent Example Highlights Drastic Shift In Tone
A perfect example to highlight this tonal shift happened recently when host Steve Harvey asked the question: “Men stare at women’s boobs. Name something that men have that women might stare at.”
A recent contestant responded with: “How about their package?”
The producers certainly know what they are doing in terms of collecting raunchy soundbites that they can then turn into viral clips on social media. However, particularly for people who grew up watching the show, who are now watching it with their children or grandchildren, these people agree that the show has taken a lewd turn that it doesn’t seem to be coming back from.

Fans Not Happy With Show’s Raunchy Turn
While these spicy survey questions and answers may appeal to some people, there is an increasing number of Family Feud viewers who continue to call for the show to return to its more family-friendly roots. Just on this recent clip alone from the show, viewers have plenty to say.
