‘Wheel Of Fortune’ Ryan Seacrest On Eggshells With New Job
Ryan Seacrest is feeling a bit insecure in his new hosting position on Wheel Of Fortune. This is, in part, due to Maggie Sajak’s involvement on the game show. An insider recently spoke about how Ryan is walking on eggshells at the studio. Keep reading to see what they revealed.
Maggie Sajak Is Keeping Tabs On Ryan Seacrest
Maggie Sajak has been doing what she can to keep her dad, Pat Sajak, in the loop about what’s happening on Wheel Of Fortune. Pat Sajak hosted the game show for several decades before retiring in June. He handed over the reins to the new host, Ryan Seacrest.
Even though the job is now with Ryan, Pat is still judging from afar. His daughter Maggie has been keeping tabs on Ryan’s performance and giving Pat regular updates, which has put the new host on edge.
A source spoke to Closer Weekly and shared that, “(Maggie’s) filling him in on how things are going. She has her dad’s sense of humor, and they’re both going to get a kick out of seeing Ryan handle the job.”
Admittedly, Pat Sajak hasn’t been Ryan Seacrest’s biggest supporter. Several insiders have said that Pat wasn’t eager to hand over Wheel Of Fortune to Ryan.
Of course, Maggie Sajak is just doing what she thinks she should to support her father. She reportedly thinks that it “stinks the way [her dad, Pat] has been treated.” Several people have come forward and suggested that Pat was forced to retire from the game show.
The source said, “Pat made [hosting] look so easy, but it involves more than just pleasantries and looking good.”
Ryan Is Doing His Best To Make Friends On Wheel Of Fortune
Ryan is “fully aware” that everything he does on Wheel Of Fortune is being reported back to the former host. The insider said that it has made Ryan feel “a little insecure.” He knows that “he’s not part of the club yet and maybe never will be.”
There is no doubt that Ryan Seacrest has a lot of experience hosting various shows. He has been hosting American Idol since the show kicked off in 2002. Ryan also served as co-host on Live with Kelly and Ryan. Not to mention, he hosts his own radio show.
That said, “There’s not much he can say about it,” the insider concluded.
Pat Sajak has made it fairly well known that he doesn’t like Ryan Seacrest. “If he picks a fight with anybody, he’ll be torn to pieces,” the source added. “So, Ryan’s being nice to everybody and saying what he feels, knowing it’ll go back to Pat, who’s not his biggest fan.”

Despite being under immense pressure, the new Wheel Of Fortune host is doing what he can to make friends at the new job. He’s reportedly been taking his co-host Vanna White out for expensive dinners. Insiders have also said that Ryan has brought the rest of the game show crew homemade treats.
Season 42 of Wheel Of Fortune, hosted by Ryan Seacrest, will premiere in September 2024.
