’16 & Pregnant’ GoFundMe Created For Autumn Crittendon
Autumn Oxley, formerly known as Autumn Crittendon, died on July 20. The unexpected death has shaken her family and 16 & Pregnant fans. She was only 27 years old and had three children who she left behind. Now, the family has created a GoFundMe to assist with funeral costs for Autumn.
Autumn Crittendon’s Family Shares GoFundMe
Fans first met Autumn on Season 5 of 16 & Pregnant. Although her time on the show was rocky at points, she eventually improved her life for herself and her children.
On Tuesday, Misty Crittendon (Autumn’s sister) shared that she would be putting together a GoFundMe campaign. It was launched on Wednesday.
Misty shared that she set a GoFundMe goal of $15,000 to help with the funeral costs for Autumn. On the page, Misty wrote, “July 20th our world crashed.”
She continued, “As my sweet beautiful baby sister, who was pretty much my twin, my mother’s and stepfather’s youngest daughter, our two nephews, niece, my son, our two older sisters, and our oldest sister’s son, her children’s father. Went to be with her father at the tender age of 27.”
“She was a beloved mother, daughter, and sister who will never be forgotten,” Misty wrote. She went on to say that the 16 & Pregnant star’s was unexpected and described the experience as “excruciatingly painful.”
Misty said that the family is asking for help with the cost of Autumn’s funeral. She also pointed out that the late mother’s three small children will need certain things. “Any money left over from the cost of laying our sweet baby to rest, will go to helping with the children she left with us. Such as school supplies, clothing, etc,” she shared.
The GoFundMe has raised $1,425 of the $15,000 goal so far. Misty took to Facebook to share her gratitude with everyone who has chipped in.
“Thank you all so very much,” she wrote in the caption. “We are so grateful and I know Autumn Oxley is so proud of how much love and support is pouring at this time. I cannot express my gratitude enough. I know Autumn thanks each and everyone of you as well.”
What Happened To The 16 & Pregnant Star?
Autumn’s sister posted a long tribute on Facebook the day she died. While some of her posts seem to point at foul play in Autumn’s passing, it is not yet clear what the cause of death in this case was.
Misty’s post was later deleted and she shared a new post on Wednesday. “I will ask that you do not speak on her name or what has happened as it is not fully clear. Once it is, I WILL make a statement and WILL fight for the justice she, our children, mother and father, and family deserve,” she wrote.
TMZ spoke with a source close to the situation about what may have happened. Apparently, the 16 & Pregnant star was found unresponsive in her bedroom. She was staying in a house with her children, mother, and stepfather.
When paramedics arrived at the scene, they unsuccessfully attempted CPR. At this time, it is still unclear as to what caused Autumn’s death. The insider said that in the days before she passed away, Autumn was sick and complained of heartburn frequently. She was also diabetic and battling issues with her blood pressure and kidneys.
Right now, the Henrico County Police Department has classified it as a death investigation. They are working with the medical examiner to pinpoint the case and manner of death at this time.
