‘Family Feud’ Steve Harvey Makes Big Career Move
Steve Harvey has made his name known as the popular host of Family Feud. However, it seems he might have some other plans in the future too. He has just announced that he has signed with a new agent. Here is what you need to know about Harvey and the changes he has made behind the scenes in his career.
Steve Harvey Signs With CAA For Representation
Steve Harvey has changed agents. The comedian and current Family Feud host has signed with Creative Artists Agency (CAA) to represent him. CAA has some huge clients, as they represent Tom Hanks, Steven Spielberg, Ryan Murphy, Reese Witherspoon, and Zendaya.
They will now have a hand in leading Harvey’s career (via Deadline). He is not only the host of Family Feud, but he also stars on Judge Steve Harvey and has a national radio show called The Steve Harvey Morning Show. Before this, Steve was represented by William Morris Endeavor (WME). That agency has clients like Ben Affleck, Christian Bale, Matt Damon, and more.
Harvey has worked his way up from a stand-up comedian in 1985 to the star of The Steve Harvey Show from 1997 to 2002. He also has several movie roles and began hosting Family Feud in 2010.
He has also been a successful stand-up. One of his biggest tours was in 1997 with the Kings of Comedy Tour. He traveled on that tour with Hughley, Cedric the Entertainer, and the late Bernie Mac.
Steve Harvey Makes Family Feud Fun On A Daily Basis
While Steve Harvey has been successful in many areas of his career, it is his role as the Family Feud host that most people know him for now. While there are several fans who don’t like the “dirty questions and answers” on the show, Harvey ensures that everyone is laughing while hosting.
The biggest thing to note is that the production team on Family Feud reveals that Steve Harvey improvises almost all his funny remarks, responses, and facial expressions. He usually doesn’t know what the answers are going to be, and it works out well for the show’s writers, who can trust him to deliver perfect responses every time.
He also knows where the line is drawn. While some fans think the show is getting too raunchy, the production team knows that Steve will always turn things in before they get too adult-oriented.
Steve also has his show where he serves as a judge. It is almost a modern-day Judge Judy for the host.
