After all the years it took to get Michael Ilesanmi to America, his life in Georgia isn’t panning out to be everything that he hoped it would. Angela Deem welcomed him to America with a messy house. Not only does Michael have to adjust to his new surroundings on the fly, but, as much as he has always wanted to live in America, he is also finding that the reality is quite different from what he imagined. Already in scenes, he is missing things from his homeland.

Michael eventually fled Angela Deem’s Georgia home. In recent scenes, Angela Deem took Michael Ilesanmi to one of her favorite restaurants. He wasn’t a huge fan of the shrimp and grits or the ribs. When he spit a piece of pork out, Angela instantly roasted him for it, going as far as to spit food at him to boot.
Angela Deem has always been abusive to Michael. The evidence is all there, even when you go back and look at some of their earliest TLC scenes. With everything that Michael Ilesanmi was put through over the years, most fans are glad that Michael eventually decided to bail, and many hope he remains in America, even after kicking Angela to the curb.

Michael is labeled “Me” in the clip, as he enthusiastically joins in on the dance, suggesting that he would rather dance with the group than ever get back with his ex. Whoever turned this clip of Michael dancing into a meme, it’s fitting considering everything he has been through with Angela.
