‘Wheel Of Fortune’ Pat Sajak Blowing Off Ryan Seacrest?
When Pat Sajak announced his retirement from Wheel of Fortune, he gave fans a full season to get used to the fact, with him still working as the host that last year. However, there is now some concern that Sajak didn’t actually voluntarily retire. The source claims that Pat was forced to retire, and he is taking it out on Ryan Seacrest.
Here is what we know about Pat leaving Wheel of Fortune.
Did Wheel Of Fortune Force Out Pat Sajak?
Ryan Seacrest’s first Wheel of Fortune episode has yet to air, and people are already talking about Pat Sajak once again. Pat won’t make it easy for fans to move past him since he is taking on the role of the Celebrity Wheel of Fortune host next season. However, there are rumors that he didn’t really want to retire from the main show yet.
According to one source inside the show, Pat Sajak is “resentful of the way he was treated and then kicked off the show” (via Closer Weekly). “It seemed like a forced retirement, at least that’s what people were picking up.” This has also caused some problems for Ryan Seacrest.
While Seacrest said all the right things when he came to the show, praising Pat Sajak for his years of great work, Pat doesn’t seem to care. The source said that Pat is having a lot of fun with his new free time, but he also has some “bitter satisfaction” in refusing to help Ryan as he takes the reins.
“Ryan can reach out to Pat if he wants, but asking isn’t getting,” the source said. “Pat’s always going to be busy, or he’ll brush Ryan off with a neutral, ‘You got this.’”
The source also said Pat Sajak will watch Ryan closely to see how he handles the new position on Wheel of Fortune.
Fans Not Warming Up To Ryan Seacrest
While Ryan Seacrest hasn’t even had his first episode of Wheel of Fortune air yet, fans are already wanting to hate him. Many said they would quit watching since Pat Sajak is gone. Others wanted a different host, maybe Vanna White herself.

There is also the problem of fans scrutinizing Ryan for everything they hear about and read. During his first day on the set. Ryan tried to break the ice by making fun of Pat Sajak. He was attempting humor to lighten the mood. However. fans are already mad that he is there as the new host anyway.
There was a moment in the clip when Ryan walked around to get to know the set. He saw a cardboard cutout of Pat Sajak. He joked, “Who’s taller?” before admitting that Pat is (5’11” compared to 5’7″).
While many fans don’t think Ryan Seacrest can replace Pat Sajak, it has happened on other shows without a problem. Drew Carey replaced Bob Barker and continues to go strong to this day. Steve Harvey stepped into the Family Feud role Richard Dawson made famous and is still doing amazing.
