Jeopardy! fans are bored and begging for Isaac Hirsch to return to the game show. Isaac, who had a nine-day run on Jeopardy!, was recently dethroned as the champ. However, fans are already missing him and unimpressed by the new contestants. Continue reading to see what viewers are saying.

Jeopardy! Contestants Have 21 Triple-Stumpers

Isaac Hirsch lost his first game of Jeopardy! on Wednesday night. After winning nine games, Isaac made a mistake with his wager in Final Jeopardy that cost him the game. He’s admitted the mistake continues to haunt him at night.

Since then, viewers have been increasingly bored with the new contestants. Jay Fisher, who won the game that ended Isaac’s run on the show, won a second match. That game was full of blanks and wrong answers.

Jay went up against Zach Eckstein and Nella Ballauer in the next game. At the end of the first round, Jay had accrued $6,400, Zach $3,800, and Nella $0. Double Jeopardy! had fans reeling. The contestants failed to buzz in for a majority of the clues and stared blankly with no answer. At one point, host Ken Jennings even joked, “We gonna keep going?”

Each of the players nervously laughed as Ken told them, “I believe in you!” There were 21 clues that received no answer from the contestants at all. It was truly a poor showing.

When they finally got to Final Jeopardy! Jay was in the lead by $16,100. The final category was “Literary Characters.”

Ken Jennings read the clue, “In a 1980 National Book Award Winner, we learn this title character gets his name from the rank of his late dad – Technical Sergeant.”

None of the three contestants was able to guess “Garp.” Jay lost $5,300 from his total, putting him at $16,199 for his two days on the game show.

Fans Disappointed In Games Following Isaac’s Big Loss

Fans took to social media to express their disappointment in the players. “Pathetic performance on Jeopardy tonight. Wtf,” one viewer wrote on Facebook. Another chimed in, “I’ll miss seeing Isaac!”

A third placed the blame on the producers. They wrote, “What a ‘game’ tonight. Clues way too obscure to be fun…C’mon writers – let’s have a little smart fun okay?!” Another fan agreed, “What an absolutely ghastly Double #Jeopardy board. the writers were out for blood today.”

“It may just be me, but the games that follow a ToC champ’s departure seem to trend towards having lower stats and more Triple Stumpers,” one viewer pointed out.

Isaac Hirsch had an unfortunate end on Jeopardy! on July 16. During his nine-day streak on the game show, he stacked up an astounding $215,390. Fans loved watching him play and he interacted with everyone online while his episodes aired.

When it came to Final Jeopardy! a math mishap led Isaac to wager too much and put him in second place. Luckily for fans of Isaac, he will be back for the Jeopardy! Tournament of Champions.
