‘NCIS’ Pauley Perrette Worries, Sends Fans Strong Warning
NCIS star Pauley Perrette took to social media to share a strong warning with her fans. There have been a number of people online pretending to be the actress and it has caused some serious problems. Continue reading to see what she has to say.
Pauley Perrette Warns Fans About Scammers
Pauley Perrette is best known for her role on the CBS drama NCIS. She played Abby Sciuto on the show from 2003 to 2018. As a result, she has garnered a wide fan base.
The NCIS star took to Instagram on Tuesday to share a message with her fans. Apparently, there have been people getting scammed by individuals on the web pretending to be her.
“Last night I got a message on Cameo, which is the only place I talk to strangers,” Pauley said in the video on Insta. “It was a terrible story about this person’s family member who has been scammed by someone who said they were me. I took a picture and did everything I could but scammers are clever.”
She continued in the clip, “Then today, I get a message from my old pastor and he was like, ‘Hey, I see you want me to friend you on Facebook’, and I’m like, ‘I’m not on Facebook’.”
NCIS Fans Show Support For Pauley
Looking at the camera, the NCIS star expressed her frustration with what was happening. She said, “I’m so frustrated with this. I don’t get it. I don’t get why anyone wants to impersonate someone else but what I do get is that this is dangerous, they’re asking people for money.”
Then, she took a moment to reiterate the fact that she’s not on Facebook, she wouldn’t request anyone to be her friend on social media, and she doesn’t speak to anyone she doesn’t know unless it’s on Cameo. She then proceeded to apologize to anyone who was impacted by the scammers.
In the caption, Pauley wrote, “BEWARE. For REAL. So many people are impersonating me and it sux.” She wrote that she’s not on Facebook and there is only one Instagram account associated with her.
The caption continued, “I am so sorry that this is happening to so many of you. From just communicating with a ‘Fake Pauley’ to those who have been scammed out of money by a ‘Fake Pauley’. It’s AWFUL.” Then, she concluded the post, “Dawn, I’m sorry, It was never me you were talking to.”

One person wrote, “That this is happening is so wrong. We all need to help Pauley guard against these imposters. Not your fault, Pauley. We love you so much!” Another fan commented, “Love you girl, thank you for letting us know.”
Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time Pauley Perrette has had to warn fans about fake accounts. Last April, she warned fans not to fall for accounts claiming to be her, reminding them to report them if they see them.
