Despite being a four-time Grammy nominee, this was a big night for Ingrid Andress. She was set to perform the National Anthem at the MLB Home Run Derby. Unfortunately, the performance was widely panned as even the players could not keep a straight face. They heard her rendition and some called it “cringe-worthy” as it was that bad. Now, as some may recall, Fergie performed the National Anthem and that was considered atrocious. She was shamed and lambasted over her performance for a long time. Now, it is Ingrid’s turn but was there a reason she was so bad?
In fact, there was. According to Page Six, Ingrid shared what was really going on when she sang the National Anthem:
“I’m not gonna bulls–t yall, I was drunk last night. I’m checking myself into a facility today to get the help I need.”
So, clearly she has a problem, she recognizes it, and this was the final straw and push she needed to get her help. More so, Ingrid noted that she was not herself when she was performing and extended an apology to the fans and America.
Ingrid Andress or her reps did not share where she would be checking in but it seems like she is more than ready for it. More so, it is unclear how long she will be gone but she will likely get back to her fans when she makes her return. She has been known in the country world and garnered her first Grammy nomination in 2021. That was followed up by another in 2023 for a total of four so she does have a promising career. This was just a bad moment in time.
Fans Had A Field Day
After hearing Ingrid Andress’ performance, fans went crazy on social media. They slammed her and mocked how poorly she sang which could not have helped her situation:
