Brayden Bowers & Christina Mandrell Wedding Update
Bachelor Nation viewers watched Brayden Bowers unsuccessfully look for love on Season 9 of Bachelor In Paradise. He was a contestant on Charity Lawson’s season of The Bachelorette, but self-eliminated early in the season.
He was the bad boy of Charity’s season but went through a redemption arc on Bachelor In Paradise. Brayden quickly connected with Kat Izzo, but things didn’t last between them. Brayden ultimately left the beach single but didn’t stay that way long.
While TV viewers were still watching the BIP season come to an end, Brayden Bowers was falling in love with Bachelor alum Christina Mandrell. The two finally went public with their unexpected romance after Season 9 finished airing. Their whirlwind romance included a proposal at Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist’s January 2024 wedding.
Christina and Brayden’s social media content has sparked rumors several times that they eloped and are already married. However, the two insist that they are still engaged and planning a wedding.
Christina Mandrell didn’t come into the relationship alone. She has a daughter from a previous marriage. But Brayden and Blakely, 7, seemed to bond quickly. He moved to Nashville to live with his newfound family.
Calls Being A Stepdad ‘One Of The Hardest Things’ He’s Done
Brayden and his fiance were guests on the Bachelor Happy Hour: Golden Hour podcast hosted by Susan Noles and Kathy Swartz. During the chat, Brayden opened up about the difficulties of being a stepparent.
“It’s been one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do in my life. I love it and I absolutely love Blakely, but there is no break. She is 7, but she is also every bit of 13. She is the sassiest little person. Everything is just ‘why?’”
He added that he does try to “cut her some slack.” Going from being single to engaged with a stepdaughter is a lot, but does he have any regrets?
But Does He Regret It?
The former BIP villain gushed to the Golden Bachelor ladies about his bond with Blakely. He said that their relationship did have some “growing pains” but is in a better place now.
“At the end of the day, when it comes to me and her, I want to show her that my biggest love language is spending time together. Quality time is my biggest love language, so I show her that I will always be here to hang out with her and to listen. I want to show her that I will always be consistent in that area.”
