‘Bachelorette’ Fans Disgusted By Season 21 Contestants
Jenn Tran met her 25 suitors for the first time on the Bachelorette season premiere, but many fans weren’t impressed. They were disgusted. Keep reading to find out why.
How Jenn Tran Entered Joey Graziadei’s Season
Jenn Tran knows about making a first impression. When it came time to introduce herself to Joey Graziadei, she zoomed up the Bachelor mansion driveway in a go-kart. She later challenged him to a race.
She made an impression on Joey Graziadei, but not as much as some of the other contestants. Jenn was sent home in Week 7. She was later named the next Bachelorette. Her season premiered on July 8, and some Bachelor Nation fans were disgusted by the level of disrespect her suitors showed.
Bachelorette Fans Disgusted By Season 21 Contestants
The Bachelor mansion arrivals get more and more outrageous every season. Jenn Tran’s season of The Bachelorette wasn’t filmed at the usual location. Instead, it was filmed at the Hummingbird Nest Ranch in Simi Valley, California.
Jenn’s 25 suitors arrived one by one with their best gimmick to make themselves memorable. Some arrivals were daring but not too out there. Brendan Barnum arrived with habanero peppers to indicate his love of spicy food.
Hakeem Moulton had balloons tied to him, saying he was “on cloud nine” when he found out Jenn was the Bachelorette. One suitor gave Jenn puppy dog eyes by literally presenting her with two adorable puppies.
But not all of the contestants were well-received by viewers. More than one of the men left their socks at home and showed too much ankle for some viewers’ tastes.
But that was hardly the most skin Jenn Tran saw, as Meaww reported.
One Suitor Mooned Her
One contestant hoped Jenn Tran would look beyond his appearance and get to know him. Jonathon Johnson showed up with his face wrapped in bandages. He arrived on a stretcher and wearing nothing but a hospital gown and the bandages.
He did have one warning for Jenn. Jonathon said that he was a bit “cheeky” and as he walked up the steps, he mooned her. She covered her face in disbelief.
Bachelor Nation fans took to Twitter to react to the unexpected surprise. Several viewers called out the contestants, including Jonathon, for being disrespectful to the Bachelorette lead.
But seeing his bare behind clearly didn’t bother Jenn Tran. He was among the suitors who got a rose, though he didn’t get the coveted First Impression Rose.
Do you think the entrances on Season 21 were disrespectful to Jenn? Sound off in the comments.
If you missed the season premiere, you can catch it on Hulu. New episodes are Mondays at 8 PM Eastern on ABC.
