Bachelorette Rachel Lindsay is in the middle of a messy divorce but isn’t giving up on love. She opened up about what she’s looking for in her future partner.

Bachelorette Couple Battles It Out In Divorce Court

Rachel Lindsay was one of few Bachelorette leads to actually make it down the aisle with her final rose winner. Bryan Abasolo proposed to her on the Season 13 Bachelorette finale. They married two years later in an intimate in Mexico.

The couple kept their relationship mostly private, which is why it was such a shock when Bryan filed for divorce at the beginning of 2024. They had only been married for four years.

Details of their marriage have been blasted out to the public via court documents in their contentious divorce. Both sides have made shocking allegations about the other.

For example, the chiropractor says he only makes a little over $1000 monthly, a claim she disputes. He filed for spousal support in the amount of over $15k a month. The judge has yet to rule on that issue.

In his court filings, Bryan claimed that their marriage wasn’t as great as people think and accused his ex of verbal manipulation, among other things.

Despite her messy divorce, Rachel Lindsay isn’t soured on love. She opened up about dating after the end of her marriage on Scott Evans’ YouTube channel. The former reality star said she was “open” to dating again and possibly having children.

“I’m in this weird space where I am still in my 30s, I am divorcing and I don’t have kids. [But] I want kids and I want to date.”

She vulnerably shared that her therapist thinks Rachel was drawn to men who she could fix or help in some way. Going forward, she vowed to break the cycle and only date men who have already reached their potential.

“I can no longer date for potential. I have to date somebody who knows who they are, knows what they want, is secure in who they are and are not intimidated.”

Was that a diss to Bryan, who complained in court documents that his estranged wife put her career above their marriage? Rachel Lindsay did add that she no longer cares about the physical attributes of the men she dates.

What she’s looking for is someone who is “loyal, have a personality, adventurous, charming and maybe even a little corny. … I want them to be ambitious but also very understanding.”

What do you think of Rachel Lindsay’s requirements for her future partner? Is she asking for too much? Share your thoughts in the comments.
