Recent Jeopardy! champ Isaac Hirsch has opened up about the dress code for contestants on a rival game show. That’s right, this isn’t Isaac’s first time on television, but he hasn’t been able to express his unique fashion sense every time he’s appeared on the small screen. On The Chase, he had to adhere to a more strict dress code. Here is what he revealed.

Fans Compliment Isaac’s Fashion Sense

Many Jeopardy! fans have enjoyed watching Isaac’s run on the game show. He is currently a three-day champ and will return on Monday to hopefully continue his winning streak. While viewers have loved watching his success on the show, many people are more interested in what he’ll wear next.

Since he first appeared on Jeopardy! on Wednesday, July 3, Isaac has been showing off his unique fashion sense. Several fans took to Reddit to discuss the contestant’s look.

One viewer asked, “I NEED to know the brand of tonight’s shirt,” referring to what Isaac was wearing. Surprisingly, the contestant hopped on the message board and responded. Isaac replied, “According to the tag it’s a St Michael shirt from the UK from 1993.”

In addition to wondering about what brand Isaac was sporting, many fans had positive messages for the three-day champ. “Isaac is so much fun to watch,” one viewer wrote. Another agreed, writing, “I won’t mind if Isaac sticks around for a while. He’s a very smart, fun guy.” A third person said that they hoped Isaac became the next super champ, while a fourth said he was “super cool” and they were enjoying watching his Jeopardy! run.

Jeopardy! Is The Third Game Show He’s Been On

Another Jeopardy! fan pointed out that they had seen Isaac on television before. He was a contestant on ABC’s The Chase. According to Isaac, the program didn’t allow him as much freedom with his wardrobe. “They did not let me dress as my true self on The Chase though,” he replied on Reddit. Despite not being able to sport his original threads, he walked home with $140,000 after his run on The Chase in 2023.

He also previously appeared on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire in 2017 and won a more modest prize of $5,000.

Now, he stands to win even more money on a television game show. He has stacked up more than $70K over three days and will re-appear on Monday for his fourth Jeopardy! episode. Isaac only needs two more wins to qualify for the Tournament of Champions.

During his first episode, Isaac spoke about his father, Steve. Apparently, his dad was a contestant on Season 2 of Jeopardy! “My dad was on Jeopardy! in the ’80s – one of the first years Alex [Trebek] hosted, and he lost,” he shared.

“Oooh,” Ken responded. Isaac continued, “And we used to tease him about it all the time as a kid. I play him Weird Al’s ‘I Lost on Jeopardy!‘ [and say] ‘it’s about you, dad!'”

Host Ken Jennings joked with him, saying, “So today, we get to find out how real karma is.” However, karma seems to be on Isaac’s side so far. He will continue his run on the show tomorrow.

  1. I fully support Ken Jennings as the Jeopardy host. He is encouraging to the players, has good responses to the players who divulge something of themselves halfway through the jeopardy round. He also has a good sense of humour and jokes with the players.
I think he is perfect for the job.

    1. I agree about Ken Jennings. I think he has a great way with the contestants. He knows all about the game having been a contestant himself. I have read about people complaining about the game and not liking him as a host. I personally think some people just like to complain. Ken Jennings you are doing good job!

    2. Couldn’t agree more! I said to my wife the other day that you know Ken was the right choice when you just take for granted when you see him walk on the stage that evening that he’s the host and will do a masterful job. I am guessing that Alex is smiling with approval as he’s watching from wherever he is now.
