Cops Surprise Mama June, Justin & Kaitlyn Shocked
In the upcoming episode of Family Crisis, Mama June gets quite the surprise when the cops show up. This arrival also leaves her husband, Justin Stroud, and granddaughter, Kaitlyn Shannon, in utter and complete shock. So, what did they want with June? Keep reading for more details.
Cops Surprise Mama June, Justin & Kaitlyn Shocked
In last week’s episode of Family Crisis, the family said goodbye to Anna Cardwell. It was heartwrenching as they assumed that they had more time with her. Yet, her cancer took a faster turn than anyone had anticipated and they all gathered for their final moments with the twenty-nine-year-old. Luckily, Alana ‘Honey Boo Boo’ Thompson was able to get home from school in Colorado before it was too late. The hard part now is learning how to deal without Anna in their lives. Admittedly, Josh Efird is worried about his wife, Lauryn ‘Pumpkin’ Efird, and if she can ever come back from the trauma.
In a clip from the Friday, July 5th, 2024 episode, Mama June, Justin Stroud, and Kaitlyn Shannon are all eating. Then, there is a knock on the door and it is the police. Immediately, June does not want to deal with it while Kaitlyn and Justin are completely stunned. She asks Justin what he did but he keeps telling June to open the door and see what they want as they have both had issues with the law. She seemingly would rather keep eating but he is adamant that she get the door. June learns that she has been served and she challenges the officer about what.

He cannot tell her despite her pressing him and he leaves. She opens up the papers and immediately laughs. Obviously, Mama June had previously told her daughter, Alana ‘Honey Boo Boo’ Thompson to take her to court over the money she had stolen from her. Therefore, it could be related to that but viewers already know exactly why she was served before tonight’s episode.
The Reason For The Drama
Viewers saw this clip and immediately chimed in with why Mama June was served. Anna Cardwell’s daughters, Kaitlyn and Kylee were separated after her death. Kylee went to live with her father, Michael Cardwell while June had Kaitlyn. Michael wanted the girls to stay together and claimed he took care of Kaitlyn therefore he decided to fight for custody. That appears to be what the paperwork was about:
- Anna’s ex-husband wants the oldest daughter, so both girls can continue to grow up together
- It’s about the one granddaughter ( custody battle) I believe!
Of course, there were some who believed it had to do with Alana’s missing money:
- It’s more likely Alana wanting her money back.
- Maybe lawsuit from Alana
