Becca Kufrin might be the last person you would consider seeking advice on how to find love on reality television. After all, her first attempt ended in getting dumped on national television by then-fiance Arie Luyendyk Jr.
Her next relationship didn’t end well either. Becca got engaged to Garrett Yrigoyen but they broke up after more than two years together.
She met Thomas Jacobs when the Bachelor Nation alums both joined Season 7 of Bachelor In Paradise. They immediately hit it off but Becca ended the relationship at the end of the season, fearing another failed engagement.
But the couple’s strong connection pulled them back together. They got married in 2023 after welcoming a son named Benny. So, it took a while but Becca Kufrin knows exactly how to build a successful relationship in the Bachelor franchise.
Bachelor In Paradise Alum Shares Advice For Successful Reality TV Engagement
The Season 14 Bachelorette spoke to Us Weekly recently. She shared advice for incoming Bachelorette Jenn Tran about how to ensure a successful engagement. But Becca’s advice can ring true for any Bachelor Nation couple, including Joey Graziadei and his fiance, Kelsey Anderson.
We don’t know yet if Jenn Tran does get engaged during the season finale, though she may have accidentally spilled the beans. Becca Kufrin’s advice only applies if Jenn and one of her contestants are engaged after the show.
As fans of the show know, there is a long gap between when the reality show is filmed and when it airs. Couples are secretly engaged for weeks without the outside world knowing. They are allowed visits in what fans refer to as ‘safe houses.’
“Just really get to know each other in this downtime where there’s not cameras following you. You’re kind of in hiding and you can’t go in public,” Becca Kufrin advised Jenn and her potential fiance.
She added,
“Once everything becomes public, it’s a totally different beast and something she probably can’t even prep or prepare for all the way.”
Bachelor Nation fans may have noticed Becca Kufrin’s absence from big events in the franchise, including Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist’s wedding.
She has apparently taken a big step back from reality TV, but remains grateful.
“I got the best things that I could have ever imagined from the show, and I feel like I was able to close that chapter and start this new chapter with my family.”
