There is so much that Tori Spelling has no problem holding back on. Recently, for Mother’s Day, her children took her to get her belly button pierced. It is unclear if this was their gift or just a fun family outing but apparently, this is just something that they like to do together. She has also shared that she has used her kids’ diapers when stuck in traffic and needed to go to the bathroom. Essentially, Tori is an open book and has always been that way hence why she had a reality series following Dean McDermott being unfaithful and how they overcame that.

Now, Tori is giving more insight into her personal life and interesting ways on the June 28th episode of misSPELLING. According to People, the actress and author shared that she and Dean ate one of her placentas. Fortunately, Dean is a chef so he was able to make a delectable delight out of it:

“Dean’s an amazing chef. So I mean, it was like, a little truffle oil, little salt and pepper. He cooked it and seasoned it and it was actually really good.”

Eating the baby’s placenta has many rumored but unproven health benefits. Per the Mayo Clinic:

“While some claim that placentophagy can prevent postpartum depression; reduce postpartum bleeding; improve mood, energy and milk supply; and provide important micronutrients, such as iron, there’s no evidence that eating the placenta provides health benefits.”

Now, Tori Spelling may have eaten that one, but she kept the others. In fact, her youngest son, Beau’s placenta is at her friend, Jess’ house. There were complications with his birth so she asked Jess to hold on to it and she did. However, seven years later, Jess asked Tori to retrieve the placenta and she said she said she will one day. As for the others, she has two in her freezer though she is unsure which children they belong to:

“There’s 2 in there. So unless I have, like, the biggest placenta in the world, there’s there’s there’s 2 vats in there. This is normal. Because there’s all that fancy stuff you’re supposed to they say it’s good luck to eat it, or it’s good luck to bury it, or it’s good luck to, you know, have it sent and made into that powder and they put into pills and I’m just too lazy to send it out.”

The Missing Placenta

Aside from the fact that Tori Spelling has eaten one of her placenta, her friend, Jess has one, and there are two in her fridge, she believes one may be missing. Since she has moved so many times, she says a “couple” have been misplaced. So, that means she may only have one in her freezer, not two, and someone might open their freezer to a interesting surprise. At this point, any nutritional benefits are gone as they last, at most a year. Therefore, she can always plant them if she wishes once she finds a stable home. Until then, it is the sisterhood of the traveling placentas.
