At 78 years old, Neil Young has had more than one hall-of-fame career. He could very easily hang it up at any point and still go down as one of the best to ever do it. Like many other working musicians, actors, and others in the entertainment space, performing live is something Neil Young was born to do. So, it makes sense why he continues to put on killer shows at nearly 80 years old.
Neil Young has been entertaining the masses for generations. He is a prime example of living the rock and roll lifestyle while also having longevity in mind. To this day, countless listeners and fans of music in general flock to see him play a show, and with the kind of career he has had, it’s no surprise.
Young Axes Remainder Of Current Tour, Why?
Young has been in the middle of his Love Earth Tour. It has been a great experience for him, his band, and concert-goers so far. Unfortunately, based on the latest updates from the music icon, he had to cancel the remaining tour stops due to unforeseen circumstances.
It turns out, the singer had to cancel the rest of the shows due to his band members falling ill. In a statement on his website addressing the matter, Young said: “When a couple of us got sick after Detroit’s Pine Knob, we had to stop. We are still not fully recovered, so sadly our great tour will have a big unplanned break.”

Sad News For Neil Young Ticket Holders
According to Neil Young’s website, the rest of the tour is canceled until further notice. For any fans hoping to see Young and his band play in the remaining cities, it doesn’t look like there will be any attempt to make up for those dates until everyone feels better.
Unfortunately, it’s not clear what type of illness everyone has that forced them to cancel these current tour stops. However, many wish the talented musicians a speedy recovery, so that they can get back to doing exactly what they love.

If there is one silver lining in this for fans, it’s that Neil Young and his band will do their best to make up for the lost dates.
They added: “We will try to play some of the dates we miss as time passes when we are ready to rock again! We know many of you made travel plans and apologize for the inconvenience. Thanks for your understanding and patience.”
