Prince Jackson Says The ‘World Felt Better’ With Michael Here

Prince Jackson is the oldest child of Michael Jackson. The 27-year-old paid tribute to his late father on social media recently, stating that the “world felt better” when MJ was alive.

As fans know, Michael Jackson died on June 25, 2009. The King of Pop went into cardiac arrest due to an overdose of anesthetic propofol. Conrad Murray, Jackson’s personal physician, was charged with involuntary manslaughter and sentenced to four years in prison as a result of the pop star’s death.

Michael Jackson left several family members behind, including his three children. He shared Prince and Paris, 26, with ex-wife Debbie Rowe. MJ also had another child, Bigi Jackson, 22, with an unknown surrogate.

On the anniversary of his death this week, Prince Jackson shared a picture of his dad in the crowd during his 1993 Super Bowl XXVII Halftime Show at the Rose Bowl performance. The halftime show is known as one of the pop icon’s most memorable performances.

In the Instagram Story, he wrote, “Miss you, Pops. The world felt better with you in it.” Over the photo, he included the song, “We Are The World.” Michael Jackson, along with a large group of artists, co-wrote the tune with Lionel Richie. Proceeds from the song and its performances went to the 1985 charity USA for Africa.

Fans Remember Michael Jackson Amid Upcoming Film Release

Fans took time out of their day to remember the late pop star on June 25 as well. Groups of people gathered at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale, California. Others took to social media in remembrance of Michael Jackson.

“Undoubtedly the biggest entertainer of all times. The one and only Michael Jackson. Yesterday was his 15 year death anniversary. Rest in peace Michael,” one fan wrote. “15 years later and I still remember exactly where I was when I found out. RIP,” another posted on X.  A third fan lamented, “I feel all the global love for Michael which makes me very happy. But at the same time I feel the emptiness he left behind and that can never be filled.”

Lionsgate recently acquired the rights to Michael Jackson’s life story and has plans to release a biopic covering the pop star’s lifelong career. The film is expected to cover everything from Michael’s days with the family band “The Jackson 5” up until his death in 2009. Jaafar Jackson, Michael’s nephew, will portray his uncle in the movie.

The film, which is called “Michael,” is currently in post-production. It is expected to premiere in theaters on April 18, 2025.
