Hallmark’s Hunter King Wants To Do ‘The Santa Summit’ Sequel
Last Hallmark Christmas season, The Santa Summit was one of the top two movies of the network’s 2023 Countdown To Christmas programming. This holiday movie starred Hunter King and Benjamin Hollingsworth. They play two people who meet at an annual holiday event where everyone dresses up like Santa. After they lose each other, they each overcome their personal struggles as they spend time with friends and family.
This fun and festive movie was such a huge success. Could there be a sequel? Hunter King would like nothing more.
Hunter King Wants To Do The Santa Summit Sequel
The Two Scoops Of Italy star recently spoke to US Magazine about her Hallmark movies including The Santa Summit. She revealed that she had the best time making this movie. “Everybody was so funny. Just even in between takes just, like, some of the funniest people I’ve ever met. But, they’re all incredible, so talented, so funny.” The Young and The Restless alum declared this was “another one of my favorites to film, honestly.”
Would she like to do a sequel? Her response is “One hundred percent.” She then added, “If they called me tomorrow, and I’ll be like, ‘Yep, I’ll be there. I’ll do it. I’ll be sweating in a Santa costume if I have to. I do not care. I’ll do anything.”
Hunter King And Tyler Hynes Are Starring In Special Hallmark Christmas Movie
While Hunter King may want to do a Santa Summit sequel, that may have to wait a while. That is because she is gearing up to film Holiday Touchdown: A Chief’s Love Story with Tyler Hynes and Ed Begley Jr. in a Christmas movie. This high-profile Hallmark and Kansas City Chiefs Christmas movie is part of the 15th Anniversary of Countdown To Christmas that will kick off in October.
However, they are starting production in Kansas City soon. Therefore, instead of sweltering in a Santa suit, Hunter will likely be wearing big sweaters and other bulky clothes as she frolics in fake snow.
In this movie, Hunter portrays Alana Higman. She comes from a family of Kansas Chiefs Superfans. They are such big fans that they are one of three families competing for “Fan Of The Year.” Derrick (Hynes) is the Director of Fan Engagement. He has to hang out with the Higman family to see where they rank as fans. Are they worthy of the title?
Of course, romance ensues, but is quickly challenged. That is because Grandpa Higman’s vintage Chiefs winter hat is missing. This is his lucky hat and the Chiefs will not win without him wearing it. Now, there is a search for this hat.
Alana is not sure if meeting Derick is fate or love. As for the lucky Chiefs hat, now that it is lost, will the bad luck ensue? Thankfully, some Christmas magic happens and saves the day.
Hunter King fans, would you like to see a Santa Summit Sequel?
