Kaitlyn Bristowe and Jason Tartick both appeared on The Bachelorette, but didn’t actually meet on the show. He was a contestant on Becca Kufrin’s season and Kaitlyn had her own Bachelorette season that ended in an engagement with Shawn Booth.
Shortly after Kaitlyn and Shawn broke up in 2018, Jason was a guest on her Off The Vine podcast. Sparks flew and the two confirmed in 2019 that they were dating. They got engaged in 2021 but never seemed to make serious plans for a wedding. The couple confirmed in August 2023 that they had ended their engagement and gone their separate ways.
Neither have discussed the split in depth. Jason is now dating TikTok star Kat Stickler. Kaitlyn is rumored to be involved with Zac Clark, a contestant from Season 16 of The Bachelorette who was previously engaged to Tayshia Adams.
Kaitlyn had a bad reaction to her ex going public with his new relationship, but she said in a Facebook comment that she wasn’t hurt, she felt “anger and resentment” toward Jason, per Us Weekly.
She was a guest on Almost Adulting podcast earlier this month and spilled major tea about what caused a strain in her relationship with Jason Tartick.
Kaitlyn revealed that she felt a sense of betrayal when her ex started his Trading Secrets podcast. She said that she had asked him not to because she thought of it as her thing.
She Didn’t Want To Date Influencer
Before he was the host of a finance advice podcast, Jason Tartick was VP at a bank. According to Us Weekly, he lost his job after Kaitlyn shared an NSFW story about their s*x life.
After leaving his corporate job, Jason decided to try to make a career as an influencer like Kaitlyn does. She admitted on the podcast that it caused strain in their relationship.
She preferred dating someone with a regular job so that she wouldn’t have to share the spotlight.
“I had a full panic attack because I felt like I wasn’t chosen and that my feelings were not worth over money for him.”
