Justin Timberlake Thanks Fans For Loving Him
Timberlake opened up about his arrest on stage Friday night. He seemed to be full of emotion when he told the crowd that he had been having “a tough week.”
The show at the United Center in Chicago was Justin Timberlake’s first performance since his DWI arrest in New York earlier in the week. J.T. is embarking on his “Forget Tomorrow” world tour following his run-in with the law.
In a video shared to social media, Timberlake can be seen standing at the mic on stage with an acoustic guitar strapped around him. The audience can be heard cheering for the beloved singer.
Smiling, he decided to go ahead and address what everyone was thinking about, which was his arrest.
He said, “We’ve been together through ups and downs and lefts and rights, and it’s been a tough week, but you’re here, and I’m here and nothing can change this moment right now.”

J.T.’s Defense Attorney Plans To Fight The Charges
Justin Timberlake was arrested in the early hours of Tuesday morning in Sag Harbor. According to reports, police officials saw him run a stop sign and swerve on the road. The pop star was driving a BMW UT.
Although J.T. claims he only had one cocktail at dinner, police said that he smelled strongly of alcohol. Officers also said that he showed other signs of being drunk as well, like having slowed speech and motor functions.
He went on to fail a field sobriety test but refused to take a breathalyzer. After that, Justin Timberlake was taken into custody on suspicion of driving while intoxicated.
His mugshot showed a glassy, red-eyed J.T. Since his arrest, the snapshot has made its way around the globe with fans expressing their shock and disgust at his actions.
However, Justin Timberlake maintains his innocence. He pleaded not guilty and was released without bail. J.T.’s defense attorney, Edward Burke Jr., made a statement about their plans for fighting the charge.
“[We] look forward to vigorously defending Mr. Timberlake against these allegations,” he said. “He will have a lot to say at the appropriate time.”
