Katy Perry left American Idol to focus on her singing and music career. However, if the leaked “Woman’s World” is any indication, fans are not happy about what they are hearing. Some fans are even calling it the worst thing she has ever produced.

Katy Perry Releasing New Song ‘Woman’s World’ In July
When she announced her American Idol departure, Katy Perry clarified that she wanted to get back out there and travel the world again. She wanted to make new music, create new songs, and tour, performing her music for the world. However, fans don’t seem excited after hearing the leaked first look at “Woman’s World.”
Katy Perry has apparently been working hard on recording her new album. She has already recorded her sixth album despite only leaving American Idol. Katy held private listening sessions and has now announced her first single, “Woman’s World,” which will drop on July 11 at 7/6 CST. She will release a video for the single the next day.
Katy then released a snippet of the song on her TikTok channel for fans to enjoy. She shot it like a selfie, with her singing the lyrics while holding the phone camera and wearing a small white bikini top and black pants.
There is no title for the new album or an estimated release date. It will be her first new album since Smile in 2020. That album had several singles, including “Daisies” and “Smile,” but it was also her least successful album in years. It debuted at No. 5 on the Billboard 300 and sold less than 70,000 units, the first album since her debut not to get even certified gold.
The single “Daisies” was certified platinum, but the next two singles, “Smile” and “Not the End of the World,” didn’t even chart in the United States. Things don’t seem to be looking up with the new song either.

Fans responded in the comments to the new Katy Perry song, and a lot of people seemed to hate it.

The lyrics included Katy singing, “Sexy, confident. So intelligent. She is heaven-sent. So soft, so strong.” Fans didn’t just bash the lyrics but the sound of the music in the snippet. They let Katy know on both her TikTok and the repost on Instagram.
