Kristin Chenoweth Opens Up About Being Abused Amid Diddy Controversy
It has been a crazy few weeks as Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has been investigated by Federal Homeland Security. There is a lot going on with this story and more information keeps coming out by the minute. It is tragic and something that feels like it came out of nowhere. Celebrities all have their thoughts on Diddy’s alleged behavior. Then, there are some who have chosen to stay silent which is their prerogative. Yet, Tony and Emmy winner, Kristin Chenoweth has become quite verbal and with good reason.
According to ET, the pint-sized starlet with the out-of-this-world pipes recently took to social media to share her thoughts on what has been going on with the Diddy debacle. This came after she saw a disturbing video:
“There is no excuse no matter what his defense is. Heartbreaking I used to love him. Honestly have my reasons for the Sean Combs video bothering me so much. The main thing I need to do is pray for him. For real.”

Fans of Diddy’s soon felt that Kristin should not have as much sympathy for the mogul as she did, she opened up about her own past. As it turned out, Kristin Chenoweth was a victim in her own right and suffered immensely.
Never wanted to come out with it, but here we go. Several years ago i was severely abused. It took me therapy and prayer to understand i deserved better. I was deeply injured physically and spiritually. The only thing i knew to do when i got out was pray. Pray for myself.… https://t.co/kgAhWmIeOV

She later added that:
“It was the lowest I’ve been in my life. I must admit I haven’t forgiven yet. It’s beyond me. God is helping me through that part.”
The Footage
Security camera footage from 2016 has since come out of Diddy hurting his former girlfriend, Cassie Ventura. He is dragging, shoving, grabbing, and kicking her while she has stated that he led her down a path of control and substances. Cassie did file a lawsuit but that was settled within a day of being filed, at the time, Diddy had this to say:
“We have decided to resolve this matter amicably.I wish Cassie and her family all the best. Love.”
His lawyer then spoke out on his behalf and tried to make it seem like Diddy was not admitting any wrongdoing. Rather, he wanted it to be over and put in the past:
“Just so we’re clear, a decision to settle a lawsuit, especially in 2023, is in no way an admission of wrongdoing. Mr. Combs’ decision to settle the lawsuit does not in any way undermine his flat-out denial of the claims. He is happy they got to a mutual settlement and wishes Ms. Ventura the best.”
It seems like this was very triggering for Kristin Chenoweth who has finally found happiness with her husband. However, when something such as this pops up, she cannot help but feel like she must share her story and that is completely admirable.
