What Is Sarah Drew’s New Series Mistletoe Murders About?
Fan-favorite Hallmark star Sarah Drew is starring in the new series Mistletoe Murders. What is this about? According to Deadline, Emily Lane lives in a small town and owns the holiday store Under The Mistletoe. When she isn’t tracking down imported ornaments, she helps solve murders and mysteries with the town’s detective, Sam Winer, and sometimes his daughter Violet. The murders take place at such holiday haunts as a Christmas Tree Farm, or when eating British holiday cookies. There is skating fun, as well as a New Year’s Eve party.
“Emily is described as smart, tough, and observant, but also kind, empathetic, and charming with a great –albeit dry–sense of humor.” However, she is holding back a deep secret including who she really is, and why she has transplanted herself in the small town of Fletcher’s Grove.
The Audible podcast of the same name stars HIMYM alum Cobie Smulders as Emily Lane. So far, there have been two seasons with three mysteries in each season. Each episode has two parts. Hallmark will be making 8 episodes of this series. The filming of this series will start soon in Toronto, Canada.

Will Mistletoe Murders Be The First Hallmark Mystery Series?
The Audible podcast Mistletoe Murders is a holiday mystery. Therefore, does this mean that Sarah Drew’s new series based on this popular podcast will air on Hallmark Mystery? The announcement shared stated that this series is being made for Hallmark Media. It does seem logical that this could air on Hallmark Mystery. Therefore, this would be the first original series for the sister channel.
However, the network could certainly surprise its viewers and premiere it on the Hallmark Movies Now App. The network seems to be offering early premieres of both movies and mysteries on the streaming app. Also, Lisa Hamilton Daly did share on the Hallmark Mysteries & More podcast that Celebrations With Lacey will air on their streamer. It is certainly possible that Mistletoe Murders could end up there as well. That information will likely be shared when the network reveals its holiday slate late this summer.
