Will Golden Bachelorette Joan Vassos Have Longer Episodes?

The Golden Bachelorette is officially happening and the leading lady has been announced. Joan Vassos will be looking for love on television this fall. The spinoff will air on a different night. The Golden Bachelorette will air on Wednesday nights. This is a big change from the usual Monday night The Bachelor and The Bachelorette get. Gerry Turner’s season was also a big change and aired on Thursday nights followed by Bachelor in Paradise.

Another big change is the length of the episodes. Gerry Turner only had one-hour episodes that left fans pleading for more. Producers listened and now Joan will have longer episodes. The network announced that fans will be getting 30 more minutes each week. Each episode will be 90 minutes long.

What About Bachelor in Paradise?

So far, ABC has not revealed the official fate of Bachelor in Paradise. Normally the show would film on the Mexico beach after The Bachelorette wrapped up filming. However, it is being said that right after Jenn Tran is finished producers are jumping straight over to film The Golden Bachelorette.

Many think that Season 9 was probably the final season of Paradise. Last season did not find any couples who managed to stay together although in the past, BIP has been the most successful spinoff in The Bachelor franchise. Multiple couples went on to get married and have children.

So, the future of Bachelor in Paradise is still uncertain. Perhaps soon the network will share if it’s taking a break or gone for good.

What do you think about the episodes being longer for The Golden Bachelorette? Are you planning to watch Joan Vassos look for a second chance at love?

Stay tuned for more updates.
