7 Little Johnstons fans recently went in on Amber Johnston for putting her granddaughter’s life at risk. So, why do so many viewers blame Amber for this when she and Trent Johnston didn’t even know they would be grandparents until the halfway point of Liz’s pregnancy?
7 Little Johnstons: Liz Johnston Hid Her Pregnancy For 21 Weeks
7 Little Johnstons Season 14 is finally caught up to the point where Liz Johnston officially reveals that she is expecting. In addition to the rest of her siblings finding out that they would be aunts and uncles, that also meant that Trent Johnston and Amber Johnston found out that they would be grandparents for the first time.
Because it has taken 7 Little Johnstons Season 14 scenes so long to get to this point in the storyline, viewers have been playing detective and looking for clues of Liz Johnston hiding her pregnancy earlier in the season. There have been a lot of obvious clues once fans knew to look for them, including Liz wearing more layers of clothes, as well as refusing to drink alcohol.
TLC Fans Blame Amber For Putting Baby At Risk, Why?
Whenever a little person gives birth, the pregnancy is automatically classified as high-risk. The pelvis is too small, so, the only way to deliver the baby is through a C-section. The way many 7 Little Johnstons fans see it, they go as far as to blame Amber Johnston for putting baby Leighton’s life at risk even more. So, why is that?
Amber and Trent ruling their household with an iron fist and unwavering expectations put Liz in a position where she didn’t feel comfortable or even safe telling her parents sooner that she was expecting.
7 Little Johnstons Fans Go In On Amber And Trent?
In addition, because Liz was keeping her pregnancy a secret, most 7 Little Johnstons fans suspect that she wasn’t keeping up with all of her early appointments, as well as other things like prenatal vitamins and more. Of course, Liz may have been doing some of that, but, she would have put herself and the baby in a much better position if she told her parents sooner. Viewers blame Amber for that, albeit indirectly.
Liz didn’t feel safe enough to reveal the pregnancy news sooner, and her pushing it back as long as she did inadvertently put Leighton’s life at risk, all of which could have been avoided if Amber and Trent didn’t run such a tight ship, where everyone is expected to fall in line.
Liz even missed the window to see the specialist that her mother would have given her because she was too far along and the waiting period to see the specialist was also long, six to eight weeks.

With Liz being a nurse, most 7 Little Johnstons fans suspect that she had some type of prenatal care regimen, even as she was keeping her pregnancy a secret. However, many viewers agree that if her parents were not as controlling and set in their ways as they are, Liz could have had access to better care for herself and her baby sooner.
