Jordan Rodgers Shares Precious Bachelorette Memory
Most people took to social media on Sunday, May 12, to honor their loved ones for Mother’s Day. However, Jordan Rodgers had a different moment to honor. He shared a video on Instagram of some behind-the-scenes moments from his 2016 proposal on The Bachelorette.
Millions of viewers watched as he got down on one knee and proposed to JoJo Fletcher, but fans didn’t get to see the sweet moments afterward.
The short clip shows candid moments of the couple posing for photos and walking along the beach together. Jordan Rodgers wrote a long caption reflecting on the moment that changed his life.
*8 years ago today,” he began. The caption continued, “I remember this day vividly…I was nervous, anxious, excited, sick to my stomach. Ready to ask the girl i was in love with to spend the rest of her life with me.”
Jordan shared that he had a “little notebook” he bought at a street market in Thailand, where the proposal was filmed. “Every page was scribbled with different notes, things I loved about JoJo, some of my favorite memories of the short time we had spent together, a long list of qualities she possessed that I was looking for in a wife,” he shared in the caption.
The two had only known each other for nine weeks at that point, but he was all in. But was she?
Details Nerve-Racking Final Minutes Before Proposal
Jordan Rodgers admitted in the Instagram post that he didn’t know if JoJo would accept his proposal. “As we arrived at the beach I could’ve sworn I was too early for the sunset shot (the proposal golden hour) so as took the long walk to her I thought I was getting dumped.”
Luckily, he wasn’t. He added, “Just as I reached for the ring and started to get on a knee shestopped me (in my mind she was about to break it off), and FINALLY told me she loved me (she tried one time, I missed the sign…that’s a whole other story).”
He concluded the throwback memory by professing his love to JoJo. “The rest is history. It’s rare you find your best friend on a reality tv show. But I did. Always will be the best decision I (we) ever made. I love you forever @joelle_fletcher.”
