Bindi Irwin is so much more than just a reality TV star on Crikey! It’s the Irwins, and she recently opened up about a painful disease that she struggles with. The conservationist, singer, wife, mom, and sister to Robert just won an award. But it’s not what you might expect. The Australia Zoo exec managed to win Dancing With The Stars in Season 21, and the list of her other achievements is way too long to list here. Bindi Irwin Is The Daughter Of The Late Steve Irwin

Since she was a little girl, Steve’s daughter was raised to respect wildlife. Unfortunately, he passed away when she was eight, but his wife Terri kept the kids interested in conservation. Thus was born Crikey! It’s the Irwins. The Animal Planet family also kept the Australia Zoo going, and Robert Irwin does a lot of good work there.

Bindi Irwin married Chandler Powell at the Australia Zoo in 2020 and honored her late dad with a candle-lighting ceremony. Additionally, his portrait was displayed with pride. Soon, she fell pregnant and welcomed her baby girl, Grace Warrior Irwin Powell, on 25 March 2021. It happened to be the date of their first anniversary! All was well. But then, last year, she revealed that she struggled with a painful disease.

The Animal Planet star took to her Instagram last year and shared about her endometriosis for the first time. Crikey! It’s the Irwins’ fans had no idea that she suffered from it. However, she decided to start raising awareness about it. After her surgery, doctors were surprised that she survived the extreme pain from her lesions.

Bindi Irwin opened up more about her disease when she was awarded The 2024 EndoFound Blossom Award. After the function in New York Cork, People caught up with the Crocodile Hunter alum and she elaborated more about her struggles.

Detailing The Painful Condition

The Crocodile Hunter alum took ages to get her diagnosis, and she suffered a lot of pain. Bindi talked about her “fertility problems, and IBS symptoms, and the fatigue, and the nausea, and the pain that comes with endo.” Additionally, she shared about raising awareness:

…what drove me forward was hopefully helping other people, to reach out to other people who are in a similar situation, and maybe giving them that strength to find answers for themselves if they are dealing with unbelievable pain for no reason…So hopefully more people can know about this disease and get the diagnosis and treatment that they so desperately deserve.
