Freak Accident For Candace Cameron Bure

While on Jodie Sweetin and Andrea Barber’s How Rude, Tanneritos! podcast, she talked about what happened to her. She was filming a stunt that involved a zipline and things went terribly wrong for her. In this episode, she was doing something similar to American Ninja Warrior in her living room. The finish of it was a zipline.

Things didn’t go well for her, though. Here is what she revealed:

“But during rehearsal, the rig was not set up correctly and there was no safety stop on the end of it. So, when I landed off the zipline and stopped, the whole mechanism — which is all metal and very, very heavy — slid right off the track and came right next to my head with an inch.”

How She Could Have Died

Candace Cameron Bure revealed that she could have almost died when this went down. The mechanism barely missed her head and Barber shared how it “dented the floor,” leaving a “big gash” and “broke the stairs.” A lot of damage happened, but not to Bure luckily. Candace went on to say, “If I just even shifted my weight the tiniest bit, it would have probably broken my neck, like landed right on top of my head.”

She went on to explain, “The stunt guy was fired. And Mark’s like, ‘We’re not doing this stunt. Like, redo the whole set, because we’re not doing that stunt anymore.'” Mark Sandrowski was the one directing that week’s episode.
