Taylor Swift References Travis Kelce In Multiple New ‘TTPD’ Songs
Taylor Swift referenced her current boyfriend, Travis Kelce, in several songs on her new album The Tortured Poets Department. This is Taylor’s 11th album, and it is full of all kinds of emotions. There is pain, love, strength, and so much more. There’s even a song that proves she was heartbroken while she was on tour, and she kept pushing through. The new album has a lot to do with heartbreak, but there are a few songs that reference her current love.
The New Album Throws Shade
The new album throws shade at several people. Matt Healy who she dated briefly in 2023, Joe Alwyn who she dated for six years, and even Kim Kardashian who is known for putting her down. There are a lot of emotions going on in the new album. Fans did not realize how she felt after the six-year relationship breakup until this album came out. This is her 11th album, and it was worked hard on just like the rest of her albums. This is her first breakup album since Red. Fans needed this album and loved the aesthetic of the music. It is classified as Synth Pop and gives off great vibes.
Taylor Swift References Travis Kelce
There are several songs in which Taylor mentions Travis. For starters, “The Alchemy” is said to be solely about Travis Kelce. She references to leaving her English boyfriends.
“These blokes warm the benches / We’ve been on a winning streak.”
She then goes onto reference how Travis ran to her after winning the Super Bowl.
“Shirts off, and your friends lift you up, over their heads / Beer stickin’ to the floor, cheers chanted ’cause they said / ‘There was no chance trying to be the greatest in the league’ / Where’s the trophy? He just comes, running over to me,”
Now, in “Chloe or Sam or Sophia or Marcus”. She has a line that sounds like she is talking about Matt Healy and her new football star boyfriend.
“And you saw my bones out with somebody new / Who seemed like he would’ve bullied you in school.”
“So High School” is another song believed to be about Travis. It is about a new love and feeling like they’re in high school. This could also reference to her old song “You Belong With Me”. However, Kelce once played “kiss, marry, kill” with one of the options being Taylor. She seems to reference that in this song.
“Are you gonna marry, kiss, or kill me (Kill me) / It’s just a game, but really (Really) / I’m bettin’ on all three for us two (All three),”

It seems that even though she was throwing shade at her exes, she still recognized her current love and gave him a few mentions in the songs. Fans did not realize how she felt about Matt Healy and how toxic her relationship with Joe Alwyn was until this album came out. Not only did she come out with 16 new songs, but she also released 15 more at two in the morning. She had a lot of pain to work through and put it into this album. What do you think about it?
