Theresa Nist is forced to give up her expensive ring after her divorce from Gerry Turner. It seems that if the couple splits, they have to give up their ring and give it back to the jeweler Neil Lane. Theresa Nist And Gerry Turner Split
Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist recently announced that they were going to be getting a divorce after only three months of marriage.
“Theresa and I have had a number of heart-to-heart conversations, and we’ve looked closely at our situation, our living situation, so forth and – and we’ve kind of come to the conclusion mutually that it’s probably time for us to – dissolve our marriage.”
The two are too close to their families to want to move away from them. However, they seemed to think they could not figure it out which resulted in the ending of their relationship. Fans are wondering why this was not a topic of discussion before they got married and are confused about why it did not get settled beforehand. What do you think?
Theresa Gives Up The Ring
Theresa Nist has to give up her ring after the divorce. This is due to the contract she signed when doing the show. It is an expensive ring costing $40,000. The ring is 3.15 carats and has to be returned to the jeweler, Neil Lane. Neil supplies all of the rings for the contestants and is shocked once the two announce their divorce. He thinks there is a way they could still work it out and that the two are still in love. Even though she has to give back the ring, she gets to keep her assets. This includes a $568,000 home in New Jersey. She will also continue her normal job in financial services.

Since the two signed a prenuptial agreement, they both get to keep their assets. This is good for Theresa as she has an expensive home and seems to be doing well financially. However, the ring itself was expensive and they more than likely take them back so they cannot be sold.
