Gypsy Rose Blanchard Files Restraining Order, Asks Spousal Support From Ex
Back in December 2023, Gypsy Rose Blanchard was released from prison. She was sentenced to a decade behind bars for the murder of her mother, Dee Dee Blanchard. Yet, she was released after just 85% of her sentence was served. There to pick her up was her husband, Ryan Scott Anderson. They met when he wrote to her in 2020 during the pandemic. Though she had been engaged to Ken Urker previously, that had ended so Ryan pursued her. The two ended up getting engaged but it always seemed that Ken was the one who got away.
Gypsy and Ryan tied the knot behind bars in 2022 and she left with him when she was released. She claimed she was so excited to start her new life with Ryan. They wanted to begin a family and even adopted a puppy named Pixie. Finally, the couple noted they did want to celebrate with a bigger ceremony when the time was right. That never happened as Gypsy shared they had parted ways three months after her release. She was then seen out with Ken and they ended up getting matching tattoos.
This came before she underwent a nose job plus she went really blonde and seemed to be enjoying her life thoroughly. Now, according to People, Gypsy Rose Blanchard officially filed for divorce on April 8th. Along with that, she also filed a temporary restraining order. She also is requesting that Ryan pay interim and long-term spousal support. This is because she is claiming she is “in need and defendant has ability to pay and she is not at fault for the dissolution of marriage.” This seems curious for a number of reasons.
Where Is Gypsy’s Money?
The moment that Gypsy Rose Blanchard exited prison, she was doing a plethora of interviews. She was on The View, 20/20, The Viall Files, and more. Additionally, she had her Lifetime docuseries which started filming when she was still behind bars. It continued after she was released and will start airing again this summer. As aforementioned, she just underwent a nose job which cost roughly $5K. This is all while Ryan Scott Anderson is a Special Education teacher. So, this begs the question of how she is in need and why exactly he is at fault for the end of the marriage.
Hopefully, all will be answered when the Lifetime docuseries continues in June 2024. Do you think Ryan should have to pay spousal support? Moreover, are you shocked that Gypsy filed a TRO against him? Let us know in the comments below.
