Lainey Wilson Weighs In On Return To ‘Yellowstone’ Final Season
Lainey Wilson weighed in on whether or not she’ll return to Yellowstone for its final season. Wilson won the hearts of many in the role of Abby on the popular TV series during Season 5. Because she was a fan favorite, many people have been wondering if they’ll see her in the final season of Yellowstone. Keep reading to see what she revealed.
Yellowstone Season 5: Part 2 Remains A Mystery
As Yellowstone fans know, viewers have been waiting for what seems like forever for the final installment of the beloved Western series. Like many other sets in Hollywood, it was shut down due to the writer’s strike and then again due to the SAG-AFTRA strike.
Lainey Wilson spoke with Entertainment Tonight at the 2024 CMT Music Awards on Sunday, April 7, and revealed what she knows about the upcoming season finale. It’s not much.
“I’ll be honest with you. I’d be shocked,” the country music star said. “And I think how [series creator] Taylor Sheridan writes his stories, and he just has a beautiful way of bringing things back and letting things go — I’ll be shocked. So, we’ll see what happens.”
According to the 31-year-old, she has been kept in the dark just as much as the rest of the world has been when it comes to the series’ final season.
That being said, Lainey Wilson isn’t opposed to taking on a role in the upcoming season of Yellowstone. Addressing the production team, she said, “What you don’t see on my calendar is rehearsal for this Country’s Cool Again tour. And that’s supposed to be like a week or two. So y’all better let me know.”
Lainey Wilson Would Love To Reprise Her Role
Back in February, she shared the same sentiment at the Grammys. At the time, she said that she was excited to reprise her role as Abby. However, she was waiting on a call from Taylor Sheridan, which apparently still hasn’t come.
Ian Bohen, who plays the role of Abby’s beau Ryan, told the publication. “We will go back, rumor has it in May,” he said. “This summer and then we should be on in November, roughly.”
Wilson claimed that Bohen’s timeline for filming is a surprise to her, stating that she still hasn’t received any word about production. “May or June? Well, that’s news to me. Ian, you better call me,” she laughed.
Despite being kept in the dark herself, Lainey Wilson said that she is eager to get to the bottom of it. She wants the information for herself, but she also wants to provide fans with the update they deserve. “I’m gonna get the scoop tonight,” Wilson told ET.
