Days Of Our Lives Stars To Compete On Popular Game Show

Long-time NBC soap Days Of Our Lives was moved to Peacock streaming in September 2022. The move came after the success of two seasons of the spinoff Beyond Salem aired exclusively on the streaming service. Many thought the move would be the end of the soap and the soap genre in general.

However, CBS recently announced they were creating a new soap opera, giving fans hope that the daytime drama genre isn’t quite dead yet. Additionally, Peacock renewed Days Of Our Lives for two more seasons. 2025 will mark the show’s 60th anniversary.

The daytime sudser is more popular than ever and will get more visibility in primetime on one of NBC’s game shows. Eight cast members will compete in a new episode of Weakest Link.

NBC revived the game show in 2020 with Jane Lynch was host. The show previously aired from 2001 to 2002 with Anne Robinson as host. Season 3 of the rebooted game show premiered in April 2023. The new episode featuring DOOL stars is a continuation of Season 3.

The eight Weakest Link contestants include current and former stars from the NBC soap. The contestants from Days Of Our Lives are:

  • Lindsay Arnold (Allie Horton)
  • Bryan Dattilo (Lucas Horton)
  • Tina Huang (Melinda Trask)
  • Victoria Konefal (Ciara Brady)
  • Martha Madison (Belle Black)
  • Eric Martsolf (Brady Black)
  • Zach Tinker (Sonny Kiriakis)
  • Galen Gering (Rafe Hernandez)

It’s not Galen Gering’s first time on Weakest Link. He appeared on the game show in 2002 for an episode that featured stars from Passions and Days Of Our Lives. The actor was starring on Passions as Luis Lopez-Fitzgerald at the time.

According to The Wrap, host Jane Lynch leans into daytime drama tropes in a trailer for the episode: “They’ll face challenging questions—like who’s the father of my unborn twin sister’s cousin’s aunt’s dog sitter?”

“I’d like to see these drama queens try,” she adds.

Fans can tune in on NBC or watch the episode the next day on Peacock. Don’t miss it!
