‘WCTH’ Season 11: Will Lucas Fight To Win Back Elizabeth’s Love?
WCTH Season 10 ended with a broken engagement and a cliffhanger. Hearties expected a big Hope Valley wedding with Lucas Bouchard (Chris McNally) and Elizabeth Thornton making it official. However, that was not to be. After issues with her wedding dress and differing views on which wedding cake they would pick, it turned out that Lucas running for governor was the deal breaker.
Now that When Calls The Heart is returning for Season 11, will Lucas try to win back Elizabeth? Chris McNally reveals whether his character will try to woo his ex-fiancée.
Will Lucas Fight To Win Back Elizabeth’s Love In WCTH Season 11?
At the end of WCTH Season 10, Elizabeth broke off her engagement to Lucas. This was just as he was headed off on his whirlwind political campaign. Although he was focused on campaigning and winning the governorship, he did not reveal whether or not he intended to win back Elizabeth’s heart.
On Saturday, Chris McNally spoke to ET correspondent Diedre Behar about this. She asked whether or not Lucas would try to “fight for his former fiancée.” Chris revealed something surprising.
Firstly, he shared that “Lucas has sort of reached the top of the mountain in his fight.” He continued, “And he sees at this point that no matter how hard he fights, you can’t change something that has something to do with the other person.” He concluded that “So, he takes a step back at this point.”
But, he admits that Lucas is “internally struggling with being heartbroken, but at the same time has so much empathy and compassion for Elizabeth.”
