Gypsy Rose Blanchard Splits From Husband 3 Months After Release
Gypsy Rose Blanchard has split from her husband, Ryan Scott Anderson just three months after being released from prison. The thirty-two-year-old made the announcement via her Facebook but what did she have to say about it? Keep reading for more details.
Gypsy Rose Blanchard Splits From Husband 3 Months After Release
While Gypsy Rose Blanchard was serving a decade-long sentence for helping to kill her mother, she fell in love. Yet, the first man she was engaged to, Ken, did not pan out and they called it off. He was always the one who got away but, in 2020, she received a letter from a man named Ryan Scott Anderson. Ryan helped Gypsy through the pandemic, having been fascinated by her story. She was a victim of Munchausen by proxy at the hands of her mother, Dee Dee Blanchard. As aforementioned, Gypsy was engaged to Ken, but that ended and then she fell for Ryan.
He proposed but, as told in the Lifetime docuseries, Gypsy still was attached to Ken. Despite this, she and Ryan moved forward with a wedding even though her stepmother, Kristy Blanchard felt this was a bad idea. Gypsy had been granted early release and she wanted them to see what life was like outside of the prison walls before committing. They tied the knot behind bars in 2022 regardless and he was there to get her when she was released in December 2023. Gypsy said she was ready for babies with him but many people criticized their romance.
Gypsy Rose Blanchard caught a lot of heat for acting as if she had no remorse for her mother’s murder. She deleted much of her social media. Now, she is back on her Facebook but sadly, it was to announce her marriage had ended, per People:
“People have been asking what is going on in my life. Unfortunately my husband and I are going through a separation and I moved in with my parents home down the bayou. I have the support of my family and friends to help guide me through this. I am learning to listen to my heart. Right now I need time to let myself find… who I am.”
She did not share why they parted ways but this is not the first split the couple had been through. They had split when she was in prison but reconciled.
A Lot To Digest
Gypsy Rose Blanchard knew marriage would be hard as she had never lived with a man before. Growing up, she was always with her mother, Dee Dee Blanchard. Dee Dee had convinced Gypsy that she was horribly ill when she wasn’t. Additionally, she had made doctors believe that Gypsy needed surgeries and medications that she didn’t as well as a wheelchair and a feeding tube. Eventually, Gypsy recruited her online boyfriend, Nick Godejohn to stab her mother to death. He is serving a life sentence while Gypsy served 85% of her time.
There is an additional Lifetime special about Gypsy’s out in the real world. No word if this split will be apart of it. Are you shocked that the two have split so soon or did you expect it? More so, do you think it will last? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
