Woody Randall Has New ‘MAFS’ Spinoff Idea, What Is It?
Married at First Sight fans have been saying for the last few seasons that the once beloved show is losing its shine. According to fan-favorite Woody Randall, he has a spinoff idea that could revitalize the franchise. So what is it?
Married At First Sight Has Been Getting Worse With Each Season
Married at First Sight was a game-changer when it first premiered in 2014. The idea of legally marrying a stranger at the altar and completely putting your faith in matchmaking experts was truly revolutionary a decade ago. All these years later, many viewers agree that the show has become a parody of itself.
Married at First Sight fans agree that things changed once Lifetime started pumping out more seasons, as well as more couples per season. It used to be that you would average one new season per year. There also used to be three couples instead of five. This meant that viewers had more time to invest in specific couples rather than having to compete for screen time and attention with more couples in the mix.
Many Watchers Call Season 17 In Denver The Worst Yet
With Season 17 of Married at First Sight taking place in Denver, many veteran watchers agree that this has been the worst season in franchise history. According to many viewers, the show has lost the authenticity that drew fans to it in the first place. It certainly doesn’t help that the experts are lucky to match one successful couple each season, if that.
- Speaking of Married at First Sight Season 17 in Denver, one commenter said: “This is the worst season ever!!!! Did the supposed experts have a clue as to these mismatches. Five out five WRONG!!!! The supposed experts need to check themselves after this season.”
Married At First Sight: Woody Randall Has An Idea To Save The Franchise, What Is It?
With Married at First Sight stuck in this downturn for the last few seasons in particular, fan-favorite Woody Randall recently spoke about his idea that could potentially save the franchise and get it back in the good graces of loyal viewers.
According to the Married at First Sight Season 11 New Orleans alum, Woody said: “The world wanna know what’s goin’ on with us.” By “us,” he referred to couples from the franchise that are still together, with many being on their first or second child by now.

Woody went on to say that these successful Married at First Sight couples don’t have a “window” to discuss their lives in an official MAFS capacity. Married at First Sight even had their own version of Happily Ever After for one season in 2018 and never went back to it.
They’ve tiptoed around it with spinoffs like Couples’ Cam. However, having any type of Happily Ever After spinoff is a winning formula, as it has worked for other franchises like 90 Day Fiance.
Most fans agree with Woody that bringing something like this back would be a big hit, and it could very well be the kickstart that this franchise needs.
