The next thing we knew, roses were being handed out and Maria’s name wasn’t called. Maria’s exit was graceful, but confusion was written all over her face. And fans, too!

Was Jealousy Behind Maria Georgas’s Elimination On Bachelor?

Some Bachelor Nation fans hope to see Maria as the next Bachelorette. However, one fan took to Reddit to discuss why the reality star “fell flat” for them during Season 28.

“She is good TV because I think she is really internally dramatic (I don’t know how else to say it). I never thought she and Joey had much of a spark, though, besides physically,” they wrote. The viewer added that Maria didn’t seem close to any of the other women in the house.

The term “girl’s girl” has taken over the franchise, with contestants labeled as either that or a “pick me” girl. Which category did Maria Georgas fall in? One Redditor chimed in to say they didn’t think the contestant was a girl’s girl. They noticed “how the girls seemed towards Maria when they hugged goodbye. Like no one cared that she was leaving,” the fan explained.

A Bachelor Nation fan speculated that Maria was out of her element in a house of beautiful women. “Honestly it kind of seems like Maria is used to just pulling dudes bc she’s hot, but when you’re surrounded by hot women on a reality television show that can’t be the only thing you bring to the table. and she def doesn’t give me “girls’ girl” vibes, quite the opposite tbh.”

Another wrote, “She was leaning on her sexuality a lot, which could be enough to make the other girls either insecure, uncomfortable, or just icked by her.”

Do you think the other women were jealous of Maria Georgas, or was her connection with Joey just not as strong? Sound off in the comments.

  1. I think there was a definite attraction! And who knows what Joey was thinking? Their one on one date was awesome! They seemed to have a lot of fun together and he was at ease with Maria. Maybe it was the fact that she couldn’t open up more that made him send her home. She stayed quite a long time though. And he’d dad is a gem!

  2. She came across to me as just jealous of all the other girls and causing as much friction as she could. I didn’t like her and I’m so happy she wasn’t chosen as the next bachelorette. I’m sorry but I thought she was the less attractive girl in the group.
