Richard Lewis of Curb Your Enthusiasm passed away at the age of 76. TMZ revealed the news about his death today. He is famous for his time on the show plus being a comedian. He was also a regular guest on The Late Show with David Letterman and The Howard Stern Show.

Death Details Of Richard Lewis

Richard Lewis passed away on Tuesday night. His rep shared that he died at home from a heart attack. Bette Midler was one of the first to break the news by saying, “On a sad note, the great Richard Lewis has died.” A lot of fans were shocked when she posted this and weren’t sure if the news was true. He was not shy about the fact that he had Parkinson’s disease, but he actually died from a heart attack.

It was revealed a while back that he was going to retire from being a comedian. Instead, he was going to stay home and take care of himself. He did share that he had medication, which was helping him with his disease.

A statement was given to People with a few more details. It said, “”Comedian/Actor Richard Lewis passed away peacefully at his home in Los Angeles last night after suffering a heart attack. His wife, Joyce Lapinsky, thanks everyone for all the love, friendship and support and asks for privacy at this time.”

A spokesperson for HBO also said, “We are heartbroken to learn that Richard Lewis has passed away. His comedic brilliance, wit and talent were unmatched. Richard will always be a cherished member of the HBO and Curb Your Enthusiasm families, our heartfelt condolences go out to his family, friends and all the fans who could count on Richard to brighten their days with laughter.”

Last Time He Was Seen Out

The last time that Richard Lewis was seen out in public was in 2021. He was in Beverly Hills with his wife, who looked like she was helping him walk. He hasn’t been spotted since then.
