‘Farmer Wants A Wife’ Fans Weigh In On The Joy Vs Reba Debacle
During this season of Farmer Wants A Wife, things are heating up with the cowboys and the ladies. As each of the four farmers gets to know their matches, tensions tend to run a little high. For instance, at farmer Brandon Roger’s place, there are two feisty ladies already sharing some drama: Reba and Joy. Now fans are weighing in on their thoughts on the debacle.
Farmer Wants A Wife Brandon Roger’s Simmering Drama
While Farmer Wants A Wife Season 2 is still getting its roots set, the drama is starting to unfold. At Brandon Roger’s farm in Colorado, two ladies, in particular, aren’t seeing eye to eye. Initially, Brandon chose Reba Wood to come alongside him for a bonus twenty-four-hour date before all the other women arrived. Although their connection seemingly developed quickly, when the other ladies showed up, Reba became easily annoyed by Joy Mayfield. And she didn’t hold back those feelings, she encouraged Brandon to cut her loose.
However, Brandon didn’t take the advice and the tensions between Reba and Joy began building. Although both women stayed, it was evident that Reba was simmering with anger believing that Joy was fake. While on their excursion to the Clemson football game, Reba lets Joy have it in front of everyone. She calls her inauthentic and makes it known how much she doesn’t like her. Undoubtedly, both ladies have very different personalities leading to the debacle at hand.
Farmer Wants A Wife Fans Talk Reba Vs Joy
Now Farmer Wants A Wife fans are weighing in on their thoughts on Reba vs Joy. On Reddit, one person opens the topic and then adds, “Am i then only who finds nothing wrong with joy? like reba is obviously so jealous of joy and i have a feeling her possessiveness is gonna backfire on her.” But the responses are littered with mixed reviews of both of the ladies.

- “Reba went from being the cool girl to the somewhat crazy girl. That being said something does feel a bit off with Joy.
- “Totally agree. Joy reminds me of a yellow lab my parents had years ago—it looked like it was always smiling but also like there was nothing going on upstairs.”
- “Not a fan of Joy, but I absolutely can’t stand Reba.”
- “Personally, not a fan of Joy or Reba. Reba is not nice, but I do not think Joy is here for the right reasons. I find her voice to be super annoying and fake. I think she is here for clout and not love. I do not think she knows a thing about farming or the small town lifestyle. I get second hand embaressment for her.”
Some Farmer Wants A Wife Fans Are Team Joy
But some of the Farmer Wants A Wife fans lean more to the side of Joy over Reba.
- “You are not the only one. I like Joy. She seems friendly and sincere. I do not know if she will like life on the farm but I do not see anything wrong with her as a person.”
- “Reba seems too invested off the jump. I think she latched on immediately at the prospect of an invested stepfather and she’s acting with all the lack of grace I would expect from someone who hails from a town of 300 people.”
- “Yes like when she said she felt overprotective of the dude. Girl what? You don’t know him yet.”
- “I don’t see anything wrong with Joy except she can sometimes be a little much. I feel like she’s genuine and truly a nice person. I liked Reba initially until the first date. I don’t know if it’s an editing choice or if she really was standoffish. Then the drama with Joy made me dislike her. But I’ll admit it has kept the show interesting.”
- “I was thinking the same thing. i actually like joy, and the way reba is acting toward her is making me dislike reba tbh.”
- “‘I’m looking out for your best interests.’ You met him 5 minutes ago. Settle down. I understand that it’s difficult to be living in close quarters with other women dating the same guy. He doesn’t belong to you. Let him figure out who is going to be the best fit for him and his lifestyle.”
Other Fans Choose Team Reba
But other Farmer Wants A Wife fans aren’t sure about Joy and prefer the bluntness of Reba for Brandon Rogers.
- “I don’t think Joy has done anything wrong, but she is suspiciously way too hot to actually want to move to a potato farm with the dude, also while I hope I would act better than Reba it would be really hard and make me very jealous to be in a competition against someone as beautiful as Joy.”
- “I love Reba. She seems so real in what would be such an awkward and difficult situation. Most people would have a difficult time expressing their thoughts clearly if in Reba or Joy’s shoes. I understand the way they are both acting and the way it is being edited. Both girls have a good heart, and it’s sad Reba is being made to be the bad guy when she clearly is under pressure. They all are. They all deserve a bit of grace. Also, please stop calling people who show emotion ‘crazy.’ People are all allowed to have feelings and express themselves without being called crazy!”
- “I didn’t see it as her putting her down. It was a fair call out. She isn’t the only one who thinks Joy is fake. Do I agree with her approach? Not necessarily, but it was fair to question her intentions when she is coming off as fake.”
What do you think about the drama between Reba and Joy? Are you Team Joy? Do you prefer Reba? Is Joy being fake or Reba too blunt for Brandon Rogers? What would you do with this debacle if you were on Farmer Wants A Wife? Tell us your opinion in the comments below.
