This isn’t the first time Dateline NBC explored this case. So what can viewers expect from tonight’s episode? Keep reading to find out more.
Dateline NBC Explores Jennifer Ramsaran’s Brutal Slaying

More than a decade later, the story takes an unexpected turn as a twist emerges that leads to an unforeseen conclusion. When Jennifer went missing in December 2012, Remy was immediately alarmed. In a teaser for tonight’s episode of Dateline NBC, Remy insists he is innocent. He even called 911 as soon as he realized Jennifer hadn’t returned home and presumed she was missing.
“The most surprising moment is when the killer reveals a bombshell new story about his wife and her best friend and what he claims was really going on with the three of them,” Dateline correspondent Andrea Canning shared with NBC.
But as Remy Ramsaran puts it, “People have affairs all the time and they don’t wind up killing their wives.”
However, getting involved in a torrid love affair does give Remy Ramsaran a motive. Prosecutors certainly thought so as well, since Remy received a conviction for Jennifer’s murder.
Where Is Remy Ramsaran Today?
After his initial conviction in 2014, Remy Ramsaran has since been granted a retrial. As per The Evening Sun, courts determined that his defense during the first trial wasn’t adequate. He went on to accept a plea deal and a reduced charge of manslaughter. As a result of the plea deal, Remy received a sentence of 22 years in prison.
It’s unknown whether or not he will have any information that will truly sway the public’s mind. But either way, the public remains interested in this horrific case. The details will come to light tonight on Dateline.
Catch the new episode of Dateline NBC tonight at 9 PM Eastern time. Don’t miss out!
