‘Will Trent’ Season 2: ‘Marvel’ Actor Guest-Stars & More Details
Ramón Rodríguez returns in Season 2 of Will Trent. An actor from the Marvel universe joins as a guest star for several episodes. Keep reading for all the details about the upcoming season of the hit ABC show.
Who Is Returning For Season 2?
Will Trent was one of the most popular new shows on ABC last year. The show follows Special Agent Will Trent (Ramón Rodríguez) as he works to solve crimes that stump other law enforcement officers.
What’s his secret? The Special Agent is dyslexic and views crime scenes differently than others. He uses a tape recorder to review the clues instead of written notes.
He also gets special help from Betty, the Chihuahua he adopted after finding her abandoned in his neighborhood. While Betty doesn’t have the might of typical police dogs, she offers emotional support to her new owner.
Season 1 of Will Trent featured several well-known actors in the core cast. They’re all returning. Erika Christensen returns as Angie, a detective and Will’s childhood friend/romantic partner.
Jake McLaughlin, who starred in Quantico with Priyanka Chopra, plays Angie’s partner and former flame. Iantha Richardson returns as Faith, Will’s partner.
The Practice vet LisaGay Hamilton returns as Faith’s mother, Evelyn. Mark-Paul Gosselaar will recur as Paul despite having a lead role in NBC’s Found.
Season 2 of Will Trent will have some new faces. Susan Kelechi Watson, who fans fell in love with as Beth on This Is Us, joins as a bomb expert who catches Will’s eye. The Season 2 preview teases a romantic connection when Will asks her out on a date.
What about Angie? The detective was brutally attacked in the Season 1 finale. We know she survived the attack, but fans will have to tune in to see what happens after that.
The ABC series is based on the Will Trent book series by author Karin Slaughter.
Marvel Actor Guest-Stars On Will Trent
ABC is pulling out the big guns for Season 2. Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. vet Clark Gregg guest-stars on multiple episodes. According to TV Line, the actor will play “Arthur Highsmith, an accountant who gets caught up in a bad situation and tries to skip town.”

Premiere Date & Where To Watch
Fans of the crime drama won’t have to wait long for the new season to premiere. The show remains on Tuesdays but moves to a new timeslot. Instead of its former 10 PM slot, Will Trent kicks off Tuesday night TV at 8 PM.
The show will be the new lead-in for popular ABC shows The Rookie and The Good Doctor.
The new season of all three shows will premiere on ABC on Tuesday, February 20. They will be available to stream on Hulu the next day.
