How genuine is the cast of the RHOSLC? They have money and prestige but are they down-to-earth women? This last season has been an insane rollercoaster. They were without Jen Shah as she was in prison. Therefore, Monica Garcia came in with her own barrel of issues including infidelity and a crazy mother. Additionally, she had worked for Shah in the past. Then, it was revealed that she was behind the Instagram troll account, Reality Von Tease, and she was not invited back for Season 5.
Heather Gay noted that they can now focus on their authentic friendships without Monica but what are they truly like? Fans really wanted to know so they started a Reddit thread to inquire. The OP wrote this:
- Curious – does anyone living in Utah know the gals in real life? Or regularly see them around town? I’m curious if they glam up when they aren’t filming and are just grocery shopping or at the mall.

It seems that it is a mixed bag with the RHOSLC ladies. Whitney Rose was apparently very chill until she got on television whereas Lisa Barlow never changed. Someone also said Jen Shah is the same off-camera as she is on. One person added this:
- I have met most of them and they are nowhere near that done up in real life. They look great but the designer labels are not in your face.
So, maybe they try harder for the show which would make sense. Maybe getting to know them as people and not Bravolebs is truly the key but that probably won’t happen.
